Wonderful house with great hosts

We were able to spend a wonderful week in Elke and Norbert's great house. From the reception to the farewell, everything was very warm. The tips for excursions and restaurants were perfect and so numerous that we couldn't try everything. Thank you very much for everything. We will be back!

Joie de vivre at its best

We loved every minute we stayed with Elke and Norbert. The house is perfect, on a quiet hill with lots of privacy, 1 km from charming Olargues. We slept with the curtains open to watch the stars and daybreak from our bed. Breakfast on the terrace with great views. Many trails in the beautiful nearby countryside. Norbert and especially Elke enjoy hiking and are happy to show you all the trails, including many ancient paths you wouldn't discover without a guide. It was great fun to walk together, through several canyons, the top of Montehut, through winefields, etc. The swim and afterparties made for a perfect day. Just for relaxing, the place is also great. The sunny terrace next to the beautiful pool, lots of books for the readers and all comfort you need. Also, our little dog had a great time, free to run around. We already booked for next year. Thank you, Elke and Norbert!

Excellent

We had a wonderful time in Olargues and felt very welcome and comfortable from the first day! The accommodation leaves nothing to be desired, for example, from one bedroom you have a direct view of the beautiful landscape and the starry sky through large panoramic windows, book enthusiasts will find a great selection of German books. The pool is wonderfully refreshing and also offers a fantastic view. Sun loungers, cushions and hammocks invite you to relax. The stay was made perfect by the hosts Elke and Norbert, who welcomed us like friends and provided us with valuable tips and culinary highlights! All in all, we had a great time and can highly recommend the accommodation.

Im Paradies

Now we're back home for a few days, and the wonderful time at the vacation home Gardeloup with Norbert and Elke still lingers.

The house is a dream, everything inside, and when you go out on the terrace, you have the pool with a view of the beautiful landscape right in front of you.

But that wasn't all. Norbert and Elke are incredibly lovely hosts. They gave so many tips for sightseeing that the 16 days on-site weren't enough. We remember beautiful evenings with pleasant conversations and the occasional glass of rosé.

Nothing was missing, except for more time on site.

This means that we will come back and continue to build on this feeling.

House and pool for relaxation, village and surroundings for hiking.

After a long journey (1150 km and some traffic jams), we were welcomed by our landlords Elke and Norbert. With their warm demeanor, they accompanied us the whole time and were always ready to help us with advice and support. We can only confirm the many reviews of the previous tenants regarding the property and the area. We spent three peaceful and relaxing vacation weeks in a holiday home situated idyllically on the southern slope, far away from all the hustle and bustle, and can only recommend Elke's and Norbert's domicile.

Great house, beautiful location and warm landlords

It was simply beautiful! The location on the south slope with a beautiful view, great sunsets experienced at our own pool with a glass of wine in hand.....Happy evenings spent with Elke and Norbert, great tips on things to do in the area, we felt comfortable in this super furnished holiday home, just everything is perfect!

Peace and great view

We felt very comfortable at Norbert and Elke's place and were warmly welcomed with baguette, salad, and wine so that we could relax after a long journey. The house offers a picturesque view of the surrounding mountains, which can also be enjoyed from the pool. It is spacious, bright, and has everything one could wish for on vacation. If you are adventurous, Elke and Norbert have many great tips and recommendations for excursions and dining options! You are familiar with the region and also supported us with language difficulties (doctor's visit).

Recreation for body and soul.

Before our decision to book the Guardeloup holiday home in Olargues for three weeks in April, we naturally read the reviews. And we can only confirm everything: the beautiful location of the house, the magnificent scenery all around, and the friendliness (and the many good tips) of the hosts. We found a hiking paradise to our hearts' content, as we can hardly imagine it more beautiful. Some paths, we felt, we had awakened from their winter slumber. The abundant rain in the first week gave us wild waterfalls and interesting stream crossings. Conclusion: We were exactly at the right place at the right time! Repeat offender

For the second time, we spent nearly 3 weeks in Norbert and Elke's wonderful holiday home. We were able to enjoy our stay: by the pool, in the village, at markets, alone by the river, in conversations with the always helpful and cheerful hosts, implementing the good tips we received from them, geocaching, and searching for fossils. It was great!!! We don't need to write more...we have already booked for next year and are looking forward to it!

A relaxing holiday with a fantastic view

Norbert and Elke are excellent hosts of a wonderful holiday home where nothing is missing. Thanks to their very good local knowledge, you can explore a lot in Olargues and the surrounding area (Source de Frejo, Gorges d'Héric, and more). If you'd like, they have a new tip every day, so Olargues never gets boring. But the house is also perfect for people who just want to relax on vacation. Lots of space and a great pool with an unforgettable view. The village is within easy walking distance, so you can enjoy an extra glass of wine with your meal in the evening.

Since two weeks in Olargues were too short for us, we will spend three weeks next year with our new friends.

Ein Traum

It was a wonderful vacation in a beautiful house, which left nothing to be desired in terms of furnishings and facilities. A beautiful and romantic time together.

We were warmly welcomed and taken care of. The location is perfect. The view is fantastic. Thanks to the good weather, we were able to extensively use the pool. Due to the privacy of the property, you can also use the pool and terrace area without clothes. A particularly good chill factor is provided by the hammock :). The apartment is very large and spacious and has everything you need. It is only about a 10-minute walk to the village of Olargues. There are also some hiking opportunities, such as... to the Frejo waterfall or through the local flora. The hosts are very helpful and provided tips and advice. It was a very nice holiday and we hope to be able to return soon :)

Come on!

The common vacationer never knows what to expect when looking for a place to relax. And then also far away and moreover via the internet! It worked for us. The whole family has arrived happily and refreshed back in Berlin. A lot of nature, lovely villages, and very nice people have cleansed our souls for a few weeks. Our holiday home in Fronkraisch offered everything that the five city dwellers needed to relax. The pool and the fantastic panoramic view were not only a highlight for the children. I wish I had landlords like that at home too: always there for questions and otherwise no disturbances! And now, to be more serious: the warm hosts Norbert and Elke took great care of us with questions about the house and the region. As I said: that's the way to go!

This calls for repetition!

We spent two wonderful weeks in Olargues. In a very beautiful environment with a wonderful view, we were able to relax very well. The house offers everything you need for daily life. The individual furnishings are cozy and leave nothing to be desired. Norbert and Elke are very pleasant hosts who were available with tips and nice conversations when needed. Thanks to them, we discovered great places, swimming opportunities, and interesting local spots. For example, Norbert showed us how to secure the terrace so that our dog couldn't run off on his own. The two weeks passed by quickly with hiking, swimming, geocaching, and relaxing. The picturesque place also offers everything you need and entertainment options. It is easily accessible on foot from the house. However, a car is essential. There was always something happening in the nearby towns. Elke kept us informed about events such as concerts, markets, or village festivals. However, since we felt so comfortable in the house, we spent most evenings on the terrace. We definitely want to come back!

A wonderful vacation!

The House: The holiday home corresponds exactly to the description and is well-equipped. From enough dishes, pots, glasses, and baking dishes to toaster, teapots, and coffee machine, everything needed for everyday life is available. Beds and sofas are very comfortable and the pool and the view are super beautiful!

The Surroundings: Because we felt so comfortable at the house, we only went to the very beautiful old village twice. As mentioned in the description, there are several small shops (bakeries, butchers, etc.) and even without speaking French, it was easy to communicate, and everyone was very friendly. The area is quite peaceful, and the natural swimming spots are really beautiful. There are also many markets in the vicinity, but having a car is essential.

The landlords: Elke and Norbert, as described, live next door and are very friendly! They are the perfect landlords: they are very nice and came over every few days to ask if everything is okay and if we needed any more leisure tips. My initial concern that the landlords right next door might be annoying or one could feel somewhat watched in their house did not come true, and thanks to their open-mindedness, one was even glad to have them next door for tips and so on. They even bought a TV in advance because we asked for an existing connection for the upcoming European Football Championship :)

There were four of us here and we thought about whether there was anything negative we could think of. In the end, we couldn't think of anything.

Holiday in deep relaxation

Very beautiful house above Olargues, bright, friendly, and spacious. Unfortunately, still too early for the pool and red wine on the terrace. Relaxing view through large windows into nature. Hiking and biking activities are easily possible. Helpful and friendly landlords.

No wishes left unfulfilled...

The holiday home, the location, and the beautiful surroundings are exactly as described and shown on this page. Perhaps even more beautiful! We spent five wonderful days at Gardeloup with our children (4 and almost 8). The weather was fantastic, so the great pool had to provide cooling. We also could use the new barbecue despite the early season and have dinner outside with a dream view of the valley. Did you know that you can grill with pine cones?! Very good indeed. One of the many tips from the landlord couple. If the journey wasn't over 1200 km, we would certainly be back quickly and, for example, relax in the cozy hammock.
