Good vacation

Cool in-house bathing area with sun loungers, parasols, paddle boats, rowing boats and fishing pier. Water access without mud. In two minutes you can reach the forest from the accommodation and enjoy the peace.

Unfortunately not meeting expectations.

Facilities: Spartan, bedroom window about 3m from the main road... recommended for children and dogs - but no fencing, main road directly next to the property, WiFi available - but modest quality, bread delivery service: 1. there is tastier in Rheinsberg 2. Sunday no service - without being informed, not a single grocery store (or any other) in town, final cleaning must be done almost by yourself (except bed linen and cleaning toilet, shower, and sink) - but not included in the price, "private bathing area": the neighbor of the property is keen on returning disturbances (in summer by children etc.)! Drives with his lawnmower tractor in circles for hours - Near the lake, endless noise. In the village, there is a restaurant with very mediocre quality, more distant restaurants are not signposted. What a pity, because it is a very beautiful area.

Family holiday

In the one week we had a very relaxed and varied holiday. The great location, a clean and cosy holiday flat and a nice landlady contributed to this positive holiday.
We recommend the very well-equipped bicycle rental service with expert advice.

It's not possible.

Very unfriendly landlady who knows nothing about customer friendliness. Dark apartments, noisy, and located next to a federal road. Paid for Wi-Fi but not available in the rooms. Toys are worn out. Communication with guests is more like a correctional facility. There are clearly better apartments in this beautiful town.

Highly recommended

We found this vacation very relaxing.
We arrived very late, but that was not a problem, just like leaving later than agreed on the day of departure.
The landlady was very friendly and accommodating. She is happy to advise and help guests with any questions. It is well suited for smaller children as there are many play options and parents can have some time for themselves. The bathing area is definitely suitable for small children. I don't understand the critical review therefore. With the barbecue areas, you can also have a nice evening outdoors, and if the weather is not good, you can use other options like billiards or the covered lounge. The hotspot and network coverage is really not great, but the landlady can't do anything about it being a remote area. However, this also has the advantage that you can just leave these devices and simply have a conversation.
The vacation apartment was very spacious and well furnished. Everything was clean and tidy. I was able to replace the broken coffee machine without any problems. If you break something, you simply have to replace it. We did not hear this supposedly terrible highway noise.
Overall, we can say that we will repeat this.

Great vacation

We stayed at Charlottenhof for ten days and had a great time there. Although there was a lot to do on the day of arrival and we were too early, we were immediately welcomed by the landlady. Within a short time, we were able to move in and start our vacation. The equipment is completely sufficient for a holiday apartment at this price! Everything you need is available and above all CLEAN! The location on the main road is not ideal, but the courtyard offers such a nice atmosphere and so many opportunities to play and have fun that it makes up for it. The short walk of about 20 minutes to the private bathing area was an ideal outlet for us with our dog and very manageable. The family's team also ensures good mood and excellent food - the cappuccino is top notch and the fishing worms are always available. The bikes were also great, comfortable and great to ride. The tour tips are included for free. If you hike, fish, cycle and make use of the wonderful nature around, you won't hear any cars in the evening. Zechlinerhütte is also so central that trips in all directions lead to wonderful places and sights. For us, it was a completely successful vacation and we will gladly come back.

Guest as Troublemaker

We would have preferred to leave upon arrival - if we hadn't already paid. The facility and the green area itself are well maintained. Charlottenhof is located next to a federal road - the front of the building is very noisy from 6 am. The inventory seems to be bought cheaply and feels like it's been around for twenty years - it also looks like it and works like it. Trash cans are on the terrace (every tea bag makes you happy on the way). The apartments themselves are quite dark. The toys for the little ones were often broken. (Tricycle with a pedal, playhouse with a damaged roof). Cell phone reception (even with Telekom) is nonexistent. Wi-Fi costs extra, although it's a public hotspot (Note: simply register with 49 instead of 0 - then you save the costs). It was not available in the rooms. All of this would be bearable to some extent (the place and surroundings are really great), if the landlady didn't have such a peculiar way. Customer friendliness is a foreign word. Oral and written instructions everywhere, very unfriendly manner and no service thought at all. You really feel like a nuisance as a guest. There is only one key for the leisure room - for all tenants, which you have to pick up. There are also only 2 WLAN instructions, etc. Actually, everything costs extra - high chair, child duvet, crib, electricity (hot water by electricity).

NEVER AGAIN !!!

The stay was anything but relaxed and restful. The apartment was dark, damp, and clammy. The apartment's furnishings are satisfactory. The in-house recreational facility is generous, but the condition of the equipment is catastrophic. Ancient, partially defective, and porous play equipment. The guest is immediately charged if any of it breaks through use. And that with a very unfriendly and cheeky attitude!!! No mobile phone reception and the paid WLAN does not work. Do not book. The advertised private bathing area is far away and not suitable for small children. The landlady was the biggest disappointment. She is unfriendly, rude, uncompromising, money-hungry, and we felt like we were always under control or observation.
