Dream holiday in Corsica

It was a wonderful holiday in the flat La Chiapparella. Barbara and Andreas are fantastic and warm hosts, we got some great suggestions for excursions and went on an impressive mountain hike with them.
The flat is beautifully located in a secluded area with a Mediterranean garden, we enjoyed the wonderful terrace already at breakfast. The flat is well and comfortably furnished, the kitchen is super equipped with all the appliances you need
The private bathing area is fantastic, we used it almost every day. This holiday with Barbara and Andreas was absolutely relaxing and has further strengthened our great love for the beautiful island of Corsica. We will definitely be back!!!!

Well-equipped one-room apartment with terrace and bathing platform

This was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever had, and we have seen many.
However, it should be noted: For our type of vacation (carefully selecting a fitting apartment, exploring the area in day trips by car, cooking in the evenings, and, weather permitting, always having breakfast and dinner on the balcony or terrace), the one-room apartment is not large; around 30+ square meters plus a sleeping alcove and bathroom. You sleep in an alcove. What made me hesitate when booking was that it was rather cozy and also wide enough. One window has a sea view. What then completely convinced me was the kitchen equipment. Someone has really thought about what you need and how to arrange everything, cooking is fun there. (After the warnings about Corsican cuisine in several travel guides, I didn't even bother trying to eat anywhere) My personal benchmark is always: is there a knife with which you can thinly slice onions without crying - yes, and also everything else I needed. The whole apartment is simply and intelligently furnished, and quite new, without any gimmicks but tasteful, which makes up for the missing 10 square meters that one might still wish for. In addition, there is the large, and above all covered terrace, where one can choose to lie and eat in the sun or shade, the latter being particularly important when temperatures rise above 35 degrees for a longer period, in front of it an outdoor shower among plants, which are probably watered at the same time. We have used it regularly. What makes the cabbage so fat is the quasi private concrete bathing platform 40-50 m away, accessible via a solid staircase and with a ladder to get out of the water – important in choppy waters. Almost every morning, I was just in swim trunks and flip-flops, swimming for half an hour. Also excellent was the contact with our landlord; we had no problem finding our way and getting in half an hour after midnight.

Bester Urlaub

My friend and I stayed in the studio for over 2 weeks - we had a wonderful time at a special place. Originally, we planned to stay for 7 days in the studio - but after the first few days, it was clear that we would be crazy to leave this place so soon: the studio is part of a small and peacefully located residential unit - yet it is still separate. It was sparkling clean, very well-maintained, and tastefully decorated in a Mediterranean style. We immediately felt at home. The terrace is huge and equipped with comfortable and inviting furniture for sitting and lying down. One can spend whole days here with a good book. The kitchen is excellent and fully equipped with everything imaginable. Those who enjoy cooking on vacation can look forward to preparing meals here. The entire housing unit is located right above the sea on a quiet dead-end street - if you cross this small street, you reach the wonderful bathing platform. The contact with the landlords was always friendly, uncomplicated, and prompt. We would love to come back and can highly recommend this accommodation without reservation.

very nice flat in a beautiful location

we spent a week in Studio Chiaparella and felt very comfortable right from the start, the covered terrace with sea view is simply beautiful, the furnishings leave nothing to be desired, the flat is in a quiet location, the path to the bathing platform is short, we were always alone bathing, the outdoor shower is great, when you come from the sea or in between, also the plants around can profit from the water, which we did very gladly, the landlords are very nice and inquire whether everything is in order, also they are available at any time for questions, all in all we can absolutely recommend the accommodation, we had a wonderful week

Wonderful week of relaxation in a fantastic location

The location of the flat is extraordinarily beautiful.

The flat itself is very quietly located in a small self-contained unit.
It is very cosy and tastefully furnished.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the cooking utensils you would have at home!
The furnishing of the flat is very loving, you can tell that someone is constantly keeping an eye on the maintenance.

The terrace is also wonderful, well equipped and very spacious
It always offers a shady spot and, above all, such a beautiful view.
The view from here is fantastic over the beautiful garden to the sea.

The outdoor shower on the terrace was very pleasant to rinse off the salt after a swim at the bathing place opposite.
The bathing place is a dream!

Next to the driveway, a small olive grove lines the property
Here the cicadas sing their Mediterranean songs. Otherwise it is very quiet, incredibly relaxing...

If we had any questions, we could always reach Mrs. Boll.
She was very eager to clarify everything as quickly as possible and to inquire about our well-being. She also gave us great tips for exploring the surrounding area.

The contact was very friendly, personal and courteous.
This holiday accommodation is unusually beautiful!!!
We really felt at home.

Repeat offender

We were in the Chiapparella apartment for the 2nd time this year and enjoyed our vacation once again. As described last year, it's simply wonderful to stay on the large covered terrace and enjoy the beautiful view of the sea. We felt at home during the nearly 3 weeks, only in a much nicer environment. This was, of course, also due to the excellent equipment of the apartment, which leaves nothing to be desired. The landlords are great, always reachable, and promptly take care of any problem (even if it's just a question). We will gladly come back!

Holiday in Gieß.

Even the well-equipped kitchen could not help us overcome the lack of sleeping comfort. The absolutely not back-friendly entry into bed and the pungent smell in it (moldy straw mattresses), coupled with the unbearable noise caused by the emergency power generators of the ships docked overnight in the harbor, turned this one week, which was supposed to be for relaxation - a week we had saved and hoped for a year - into a nerve-wracking ordeal. We then used the surrounding beaches as resting places since it was still pre-season and the number of tourists on the beach was manageable. When the landlady called us to water the plants on the property (even though the contract mentioned an automatic irrigation system), we were more than surprised. All noises from the neighbors in the adjacent house and those living in the same building were amplified due to the acoustical location of the "studio". You could hear everything, unfortunately even toilet sounds while you were having breakfast. I cannot recommend anyone to vacation here, as afterwards we were completely exhausted and disgusted by this accommodation and urgently needed a vacation.

Furthermore, the key handover was done via email without encryption! Anyone can read any email address. Criminal according to the new data protection laws!

Holiday apartment with a view

A great location, a nice and clean apartment, a large, partially covered terrace: vacationer's heart, what more could you ask for. I stayed at the La Chiaparella apartment for almost 11 days in mid-May this year. The apartment is functionally furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, a small bathroom equipped with a floor-level shower, and has air conditioning. It is very quiet, far from the large tourist crowds, located on the large, fjord-like bay of Porto Vecchio in a beautiful landscape. If you are not drawn to the nearby beaches of Palombaggia, you can dive into the Mediterranean via a bathing platform belonging to the property.
My conclusion: An ideal apartment for two people, also because many excursions, such as Bonifacio, can be reached very quickly; it takes just under 20 minutes to get to Porto-Vecchio for shopping. A detour into the hinterland to the nearby Corsican mountains is particularly worth a day trip. But the best part is the view from the bathing platform over the blue Mediterranean Sea to the snow-capped mountains, some reaching up to 2300 meters tall, in May. Magnificent!

Beautiful apartment in a dreamy environment

The landlady personally advised us from the beginning and was very accommodating in scheduling the check-in and check-out times. The information on how to get to this very quietly located accommodation was very precise, and the description of the property was very accurate. The equipment is high quality, very well-maintained, and lovingly and tastefully furnished. The very good kitchen equipment also allows for the preparation of more elaborate dishes. Information on how to use the kitchen appliances and other equipment, on the surroundings, and practical questions were precisely tailored to our needs and very helpful. In our case, the specific suggestions and tips on diving and a nearby diving base were also very helpful to us. Barbara was always very accessible and took good care of us before and during our stay. The access to a private beach is incredibly beautiful, as well as the outdoor area with an outdoor shower and a beautifully landscaped garden. The spacious terrace allows for outdoor seating even in the evening.
We would recommend this accommodation at any time and look forward to our next visit!

Great vacation in June 2017

The appartment is super equipped, there is nothing missing! The terrace with sea view has a lot of charm, the accommodation invites you to spend the whole day there. The platform belonging to the house, from which you can access the sea, is exclusive to the 3 houses on the property. The landlady is super nice and takes care promptly if something should not be right.
We will be back!
