High-quality, child-friendly holiday home, tastefully furnished and technically up to date. The flat is 86 m² and can accommodate 7 people. The holiday home is spread over 2 levels and is located on the ground floor and basement of the "Residence Helena", an 8-apartment house
The ground floor has a fully equipped, modern fitted kitchen with 4-plate ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment as well as cooking utensils and crockery. Children's cutlery and crockery are also provided. The dining area has 8 chairs and a dining table as well as a counter table. The living/bedroom has an upholstered set with high-quality leather upholstery. A 2.5-seater has a sleep function with cold foam mattress (160 cm), which provides optimal pressure equalisation and relief for the spine. A flat screen TV, a stereo system with i-pod/i-phone docking station and a DVD-CD/USB player are available for a cosy TV evening. In the living room there is underfloor heating and an electric fireplace, a "must" especially for the cold season. There is also 1 bathroom with shower/WC and 1 bedroom with a high-quality box-spring bed and a flat-screen TV with integrated and luxury in the in-house wellness area: spacious bathroom with sauna and rain shower, where you can also take a cooler shower between sauna sessions. The flat is suitable for small children as the stairs are equipped with stair guards. A baby cot and high chair are also available. The electrical sockets are protected from prying children's hands.
The covered and wind-protected balcony has 6 aluminium garden chairs and two garden tables. A maritime beach chair for sunbathing is available in the small garden. Especially important for internet users: free WLAN! All rooms are equipped with blackout curtains.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home Helena, built in 2014, is quietly yet centrally located. Attractive destinations such as the beach, town center with shopping street and restaurants, airfield, train station, golf and tennis courts can be reached within a few minutes’ walk. The East Frisian Islands have been popular as a family destination beyond the borders of Germany, Holland, and Denmark for decades. The easternmost of the East Frisian Islands is the small Wangerooge, which at low tide is separated from the mainland only by the mudflats and could then theoretically also be reached on foot. Reports from the 15th century exist about Tanno Düren, Lord of Jever, who is said to have traveled from the mainland to the island with horse and cart. Today, this is discouraged to protect the seals. Located directly in the Wadden Sea of the North Sea, even the youngest visitors can discover their love of nature here, and singles, families, or couples can relax in our comfortable holiday apartments on Wangerooge.
There are beaches here like hardly anywhere else. On the north of the island, the sandy beach is 100 m wide and 3 km long, and in the east it appears even more impressive, because here it is connected to a 500 m wide and 3 km long area of sand deposits. The highest point of the island is a 17 m high sand dune on which a viewing platform was built a few years ago.
Here, no parent needs to worry about losing their child, because with around inhabitants everyone knows everyone, and even the annual holidaymakers on Wangerooge cannot change that.
For the sake of the environment and relaxation, cars are forbidden on the island and you can arrive by ferry from Harlesiel. Since Wangerooge also has an airport, you can fly in from Harlesiel, Bremen, or Hamburg alike.
Wangerooge is especially attractive because of its beautiful sandy beaches and relaxing atmosphere. In the midst of this environment, there are countless opportunities for recreation. Sports events and fun for young and old. An annual beach volleyball tournament at the beginning of August is one of the main attractions of the summer and has helped to open up the island to the younger generation as well. With its tranquility and relaxing atmosphere, it was mistakenly assumed in the past that the island was only for the older generation and families, but today that is already quite different. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, and skate parks have also contributed to this.

Great relaxing holiday in a beautiful holiday flat
We had a wonderful 8 days on Wangerooge. The flat is simply to feel good in! Furnished with a lot of love, even the bed linen and towels match the style. The weather also played along. An all-round successful holiday. If it should ever be Wangerooge again, then always again in the Woogehus.

Great apartment!
The apartment is equipped with a lot of attention to detail, lovingly, practically, and with everything you need. The description is completely accurate! Especially good with children is the mention of the separate bathroom - it has saved us a lot of morning stress ;-) We would book again at any time!
