Description
This small, fine cottage (65 m2) is beautifully nestled in a beautiful natural setting. The whole village of Nagymakfa is surrounded by forests. Very quiet because dead-end village. Hiking, horse riding, pool, cycling, active holidays, hunting, canoeing, fishing.

The house is equipped with all the necessary: TV, (Sat TV ), washing machine, fully equipped kitchen: electric cooker, fridge, microwave, kitchen utensils, tea towels, etc. The house has a very good room layout. Each room has its own entrance. Two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom with shower, dining room and living room in one room. In the living room there is a fireplace, in cold and bad weather you can heat up and snuggle by the fire.
In the garden you will find: pool, swing, sandpit, slide, table tennis, barbecue, garden furniture.
In the village you can walk, cycle or ride in any direction. Two riding stables are available for our guests. German is spoken. In only 3km distance there is a very nice bathing lake. The way there leads through a forest and is only passable on foot or by bike. The nearby town of Vasvar also has a small thermal bath. It is only 6 km away. You can go shopping or to the inn here. The house has room for six people.
Smoking is not allowed in the house. The village Nagymákfa is at the end of a dead end road from Vasvar to Nagymmakfa. Nagymakfa is a small dead-end village, 6 km away from the town of Vasvar. Directly behind the house begins the nature reserve, which invites to cycling, long walks. After a 3000 m walk through the nature reserve forest there is a bathing lake (Döröske) where there is a public bathing place with a snack bar.
In Gersekarat, 10 km from the cottage, there is a fishing paradise which can be used by everyone for a small fee.
The village of Nagymakfa is hilly, north of Vasvar begins the lowland, south the hilly landscape of Zala region. Nagymakfa is surrounded by forests, a paradise for wild animals. Deer and stags can be seen almost every day, sometimes they pass through the road. In the forest (acacia, beech, oak) there are several hundred year old oak trees, you feel like in the march.
The small village of Nagymakfa lies in the largest thermal region in Hungary. At least ten new and modern thermal baths are in the vicinity: Zalaegerszeg 25 km (also has a huge Aqualand), Sarvar 30 km, Kehidakustany 45 km, Zalaszentgrot 25 km. The largest thermal lake in Europe Heviz is 60 km away and Lake Balaton is 5 km further.

You can go on many interesting excursions from the house. In the surrounding area you will find bathing lakes, thermal baths, riding stables, fishing lakes, beautiful towns and monuments. The roads alone are an experience, because the hilly landscape is reminiscent of Tuscany. The roads are in very good condition.
From the village, a path leads through the forest to the Döröske lake, which can only be passed on foot or by bicycle. The lake is 3 km away. Another bathing lake, Gersekarat is 15 km far, you can drive there by car, this bath is very well maintained, very beautiful location. You can also fish here. There are several snack bars on the beach. Free entrance.
5 km from the village is a riding farm, where you can ride, take riding lessons or go horseback riding. One hour costs 8 euros. German is spoken.
Nagymakfa is in the largest thermal region in Hungary. It is a small but very well maintained and beautiful bath, has a large swimming pool with cold water, a pool with hot water and a small pool for children. Entrance fee is 2,5 Euro / pers / per day.
North of Nagymakfa is the river Rába, where you can go canoeing, it is about 8 km far from the village. In Rabahidveg, where the canoe rental is, there is a "Csarda", a hungarian restaurant, where you can taste delicious hungarian food.
20 km away from the village you can visit the 300-year-old thatched-roof wine cellar in Oszko. There is a wine cellar here, where you can taste the local good wines. About 10 km away is the Arboretum of Jeli, the largest in Hungary, where you can admire different species of plants.
Pets are allowed if they are well behaved.
Pet costs 3 Euro / night.
Smoking is not allowed in the house.

Simply great
We lived in this house for a week with our dog. Everything was just fine. The house is very clean. The garden is beautiful. Fully fenced, so our darling could move freely. The pool is a bit small, but completely sufficient. Excursions were unfortunately not possible, as we arrived during a "mosquito season" (floods and lots of rain before us - but it was sprayed twice and when we left, there were almost no mosquitoes left). Therefore, we cannot say anything specific about the surroundings. The landlords are very nice and helpful. You can ask them any questions. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful holiday home
We have been here for the fourth time and can only say TOPP. Very quietly located but with many excursion possibilities for our children and us. The landlords are very, very nice people who do everything to ensure that their guests have a wonderful holiday. The house is very clean and well maintained with everything you need. I can only recommend it.
