Description
Casa da Corredoura is one of the last farmhouses before the lighthouse of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost cape of Europe. From the higher property you have a clear view over green hills and the lighthouse far out to the Atlantic Ocean. Our two houses have the same excellent view, but are far apart, guaranteeing peace and privacy. The village of Azoia is only 200m away, situated at the south-western end of the Sintra mountains, it is still quiet here, far from the tourist crowds of Cascais. Nevertheless, this is one of the most convenient places to explore the region. The world heritage city of Sintra, the beach of Guincho or the old town of Lisbon are all within easy reach.

Location and surroundings of object
Azóia is quiet and free of crowds, there are but a few very good restaurants, a grocery store, bakery, butcher, and a few small bars and cafes. You will find supermarkets and banks in Cascais and Estoril 20 min from here. From there, a train to Lisbon is also every 15 min.

Coast and beaches
Azoia has its own beach directly at Cabo da Roca, but the descent is difficult. But you are compensated by cliffs over 100 m high and a beach that is often deserted even in summer.
The largest and most famous beach Guincho to the south and Praia Adraga to the north are both minutes by car
Guincho has long been known to windsurfers, but surfers should also explore the beaches to the south and north from here.
Mountain bikers will find countless tours of all levels of difficulty in the Serra de Sintra, special downhill trails are prepared and you can start directly from the house.
Golfers can choose between several courses in the immediate vicinity.

Prime location + great value for money
We stayed there as a family (2 adults, 2 children) for 2 weeks in April. The location is really great! You can see the westernmost point of Continental Europe (Cabo da Roca) directly. The sunsets are amazing. It is also very quiet. Other than chirping crickets, you hear nothing there! A great starting point to explore the Sintra region. In addition, Lisbon can be reached in about 30-40 minutes by car. Various beaches are also just a few minutes away by car. The Wi-Fi works perfectly. TV with satellite. Everything good. The landlord is very friendly and you can approach him with any concerns. He was very helpful!
One star deducted for the equipment, as it is very sparsely furnished. Definitely not luxury, but it has everything you need. It could be a little cleaner, but not really bothersome!
All in all, top value for money. We had a very nice holiday there and can recommend it!

Great location, neglected venue
This accommodation was probably really nice at one point, but nothing has been done to maintain it for many years and cleanliness is unheard of; Wi-Fi was also not available.

Wenn zwei W-LAN Netze installiert sind und ständig funktionieren, an gewissen Stellen die Reichweite vielleicht nicht ausreicht, dann zu sagen es gab kein W-LAN ist nicht korrekt. Wenn eine Toilette, Küche, der Fußboden oder sonstiges nicht richtig gereinigt war dann kann man das bemerken, zu sagen "Sauberkeit ist ein Fremdwort" bedeutet es sollte bewusst beleidigt werden. Das Haus wird für jeden Mieter seit zwölf Jahren mit der selben Routine gereinigt, es gab nie Beschwerden.
Das Sofa, das Bad und diverse andere Möbel sind aus dem Baujahr 2005, vieles wurde getauscht und ist nagelneu wie Fernseher, Kühlschrank, Küchen Arbeitsplatte und Spüle,
der Wohnraum wurde kürzlich neu gestrichen, etc. Das Haus hat Gebrauchsspuren, ist aber weder alt und schon gar nicht ab gewohnt da es ja nur im Sommer als Ferienhaus genutzt wird. Die Bäder beider Häuser werden im Winter 2018/19 erneuert, der Wochenpreis ab 2019 dann auf 500/700€ Haupt- Nebensaison angepasst.
Die Gäste, die ich als freundliche und umgängliche Menschen kennengelernt habe, die ich wie immer nach dem ersten Tag nach ihrer Befindlichkeit befragt habe und mit denen ich weitere nette Gespräche geführt hatte waren später nicht in der Lage mir zu ihrer nach einem Monat abgegebenen Bewertung irgendwelche Auskünfte zu geben.
Darum bitte ich den geneigten Interessenten sich genau über unser Angebot zu informieren, es gibt auch eine private Website, ich bitte und bestehe darauf, dass alle erdenklichen Fragen gestellt und Zweifel ausgeräumt werden.
Wer Ruhe, Natur und einen einzigartigen Meerblick sucht ist bei uns richtig, wer gestylte Möbel und extrem Hygiene braucht geht bitte ins Hotel.
