Dear guests, you are looking for a large holiday home at the North Sea for your holiday, company or family celebration, which offers you cosiness, a certain amount of privacy and space for joint activities in separate holiday flats, even with a group of 8-10 people? At times when the pool is in use, we only rent out the whole house to one group

A selection of books, TV's and W-Lan in the entire house provide entertainment. The outdoor area with an apple orchard, an oak orchard, raspberry bushes and a pear tree offers plenty of organic fruit to pick and snack on yourself. Also included are sun terraces with seating, large lawns, a campfire area and parking right by the house
The kitchens are equipped with cooker, oven and fridge and contain everything from kettles and toasters to crockery and washing up liquid. A washing machine & dryer is available free of charge ,allowing you to stay for several days without the possible burden of large luggage
On request, we will gladly provide you with a high chair and a cot. Individual accommodation units can also be closed off or connected with each other. If you need more rooms or have other wishes, we will try to make everything possible and be flexible. Just contact us directly

INTERESTING FACTS
The name 'The Old Country'. When the ice age was over about ten thousand years ago, the melting ice dug the glacial valley of our Elbe into the ground. This slowed down the flow of the meltwater rivers, the river bed narrowed and finally came to a halt north of the Elbe slope near Blankenese. The changing tides of the North Sea brought with them silt and other deposits that were layered along the southern bank as marshland over thousands of years. A unique geological structure developed along the shoreline: the marshland highland 1-2m above sea level and the sietland (siet = low) in the hinterland and 1-2m below sea level
"Das Alte Land Haus Oste" is nestled between orchards, the North Sea and its rivers. Landlords live on the upper floor. The mild climate, which usually provides a small breeze, is incredibly beneficial and has a healing effect, especially for people with skin and respiratory problems.

Guided tours through the mudflats as well as carriage rides through the mudflats or boat trips to the North Sea island of Neuwerk are offered in Cuxhaven.
Hamburg: Elbphilharmonie or Kieztour? A great option is to take the Metronom train from Himmelpforten (10 min.) and buy the HVV ticket, Greater Hamburg area. This gives you free travel all day on all S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains as well as buses and even Elbe ferries. A wonderful all-round package for just a few euros.
Altes Land is the name given to the Elbmarsch region with its half-timbered houses and fruit-growing areas. Cultural landscape Altes Land with its rivers between: Elbe, Weser, Schwinge, Oste and North Sea!

rest. We have furnished the house with a lot of love & effort and hope that you will find

Family vacation
We were at the country house Oste with our three-generation family (3 years to 67 years). It was simply beautiful. Cozy apartments with very good amenities. Great large garden, perfectly suited for relaxing, playing, romping, and swinging. The pool was very popular and was used extensively. The highlight was feeding the chickens and searching for eggs every day. Astrid is a super warm-hearted host. Helpful, kind, funny, and always there for any concerns. The service unbeatable.
We are happy to come back.

I had rented the accommodation to visit relatives in the village over Christmas and at the same time to relax a little.Very friendly hostess.Well equipped,very clean apartment with a special atmosphere in thatched house with beautiful courtyard.After relaxing walks to the Oste or the nearby moor, returning to the blazing fire in the fireplace was a special highlight(wood was plentiful)Highly recommended!
