Description

The lavishly renovated holiday home is a former farmhouse that once belonged to the Briesen estate
Briesen consists of a handful of houses and is embedded in the idyll of forest and water. In the immediate vicinity - within walking distance - there are 2 bathing lakes that invite you to swim, as well as burial mounds from the Bronze Age. In Briesen, nature is still in order, so that not only fox and hare say "good night" to each other, but also the black stork and white-tailed eagle can be seen from time to time, if you are lucky.

Location and surroundings of object

The house is located on the edge of the village and only has a neighbour on the west side just 100 m away. The village of Briesen consists of a handful of houses and is embedded in the idyll of forest and water. The only road through the village is a forest road with almost no traffic. In the immediate vicinity - within walking distance - there are 2 bathing lakes that invite you to swim, as well as burial mounds from the Bronze Age. In Briesen, nature is still in order, so that not only fox and hare say "good night" to each other, but also the black stork and white-tailed eagle can be seen from time to time, if you are lucky.

In the middle of the forest, pure nature!

Wonderfully quiet house with lots of space. We wanted for nothing. The insect screens were a blessing with the many mosquitoes. It's a 10-minute bike ride through the forest to Lake Stiernsee. Contact and handing over the keys was great! However, you should have a robust car for the journey!

Idyll in the forest

Wonderful location for guests seeking peace: In the middle of the forest and only accessible via bumpy paths, yet a good starting point for excursions and hikes. Lovingly restored house with very good amenities, a very large garden with barbecue facilities and a fire pit. The description "Where fox and hare say goodnight" fits perfectly: We saw both - and were woken up multiple times by calling cranes. For us, an all-around beautiful stay!

Idyllic it was. The cottage is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Uckermark. Natural beauty and tranquility characterize the area. You can go hiking and biking there, but also lazing in the beautiful garden is worth recommending. We will definitely come back.
We could only think of one thing that could make the stay even better, and that is a washing machine. But oh well, if that's the only thing...

Relaxing holiday in the middle of the forest

This little house is just right if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Here you can spend your time without meeting a single person and without hearing a single car. Wonderful. Surrounded by forest, you are truly (almost) all alone in the small village of Briesen. Getting there is already a small adventure, as you have to travel several kilometers on a small forest path without civilization to reach the house. The house is equipped with everything you need and has been beautifully renovated, so you don't have to forego any comfort despite its seclusion. Two bicycles also belong to the house, inviting you to go on extensive bike rides in the nearby area.

Overall, there are diverse leisure activities in the region, which are also summarized in a visitor folder in the house. Hiking, cycling, swimming in the nearby Stiernsee in summer, or simply relax all day and sit by the campfire in the evening.

Definitely bring a flashlight (among other things for spooky night hikes) because there is no indirect lighting from other houses or streetlights in Briesen.

We will definitely come back and have found a real hidden gem here.

Thoughtful autumn days

Words are not enough to describe the unique tranquility that prevails in this place. One can only congratulate the landlords on their foresight in choosing this vacation spot. Shopping opportunities are easily accessible by bike. A balanced and loving, meaningful furnishing of the rental property completes the vacation experience. This terrific stay in September/October 2015, from my perspective, is a very individual, exceptional, and definitely worth repeating vacation. Thanks also to the generosity of the property, the provided goodies like 2 bicycles, loungers, garden seats, the house and kitchen equipment, and the satellite TV.

This holiday accommodation will definitely be booked by me several times. Ideally, I would love to live there permanently!

Quiet idyll in (almost) real solitude

We spent three relaxing weeks in the beautifully renovated holiday home - wonderful. We found everything in perfect condition and then let our souls dangle while cycling, hiking, and canoeing - that also worked well in the hammock on site. The beds were great, so we could wake up in the morning to the sound of the cuckoo or other birds and look forward to each new day. No phone could disturb us from outside - it's so isolated there. We wish everyone this complete peace in nature.

Nature holiday

For those who want to spend their holidays in the middle of untouched nature - just a good hour's drive from Berlin - the newly renovated, tastefully and cosily furnished house in Briesen is a real insider tip. In fond memory, we have: the bike rides through the beautiful landscape of the Uckermark, which in this area with its lakes, hilly fields and meadows, sparse forests, has its very special charm, the evening campfire in the garden, the deep silence, the unimaginable darkness at night, the starry sky. The next vacation week in Briesen is already firmly scheduled!
