In the middle of the Nordpfälzer Bergland, close to the Donnersberg, the Weißdornhof invites you to stay - embedded in a monument zone of traditional three-sided farms in the small village of Dörnbach, at the gates of Rockenhausen. In the so-called "old world", time sometimes seems to stand still. Dörnbach attracts visitors with its tranquillity, idyll, closeness to nature and yet good connections
With great attention to detail, we have restored the Weißdornhof with building biology materials and designed it according to geomantic principles. Here it is easy to find yourself and let your soul dangle. Whether with the family, a group or alone - the historic former farm offers a variety of possibilities and spaces
The lovingly converted holiday flat in the roof of the former farmhouse offers the following rooms
- Bedroom with double bed (1,80 x 2,00) and 1 bed(1,00 x 2,00)
- Bedroom with double bed (1,80 x 2,00) and 1 bed (1,00 x 2,00)
- Kitchen / living room with sofa bed and hanging chair
- Bathroom with bathtub and WC.
Yard and garden with fireplace, wide views over the countryside and cosy sitting areas are at your disposal. If you would like to spend your holiday with art, handicrafts or creative design, you will find various spatial possibilities in the barns, the winter garden, and the barn atelier with a light roof
A seminar/group room can also be rented
Rockenhausen (3 km) offers the possibility of e-bike rental, a natural adventure pool, smaller museums and an idyllic old town
There are horse riding facilities directly in the neighbourhood.

Location and surroundings of object
The historic former farm is located in the village of Dörnbach, a district of Rockenhausen with 600 inhabitants. The holiday flat is on the ground floor of the 2-storey house with a view of the Lämmerwald, the idyllic farm and the adjacent fields and horse pastures. Dörnbach is located in the Nordpfälzer Bergland near the Donnersberg. Characteristic of the area are small original villages with old sandstone walls and colourful shutters embedded in a lot of nature: rolling hills, deciduous forests, meadows, valleys, wide views. There is an extensive network of well-signposted hiking trails (Pfalz-Höhenweg, Alsenz-Radweg).

Beautiful cosy flat
Lovingly furnished flat. Everything you need is available in the flat. We felt very comfortable at the Weißdornhof for our short holiday with our children
There are shopping facilities in nearby Rockenhausen

Beautiful holiday flat to relax in
We were a family of 4 on a hiking and recreational holiday in this beautiful flat on the Weißdornhof. We were very warmly welcomed by the landlords, then we were shown the farm and the idyllic places in the courtyard and garden, which are allowed to be shared. The flat was very clean, lovingly furnished and spacious.
The location is very idyllic, but in a very small part of Rockenhausen. There are no shopping facilities there. But in a few minutes by car or a long walk to Rockenhausen you can find everything you need. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the starting points for hiking on the Donnersberg. But there are also beautiful routes directly from the farm where you can enjoy the nature of the North Palatinate.
After our excursions in the surroundings, we enjoyed using the table tennis table in the barn in the evenings.
In any case, we enjoyed our stay very much and can recommend this holiday flat without reservation.

peaceful New Year's Eve days
beautifully individual! e.g. kitchenette installed by a carpenter, beautiful wooden floor. Very large bathroom. Friendly landlords: Email contact was excellent, friendly and quick! The wood for the stove was already in the living room! The forgotten shoes were forwarded without batting an eyelid. They didn't even want a refund for them! That would fall under the "service" of the house. Very, very friendly!
Mini deduction because a microwave, for example, would have been practical but was missing and because in the 2nd bedroom there was no possibility to read while sitting in bed under the sloping roof (which I enjoy very much on holiday) and the Wi-Fi in the 2nd bedroom was not usable. In all other rooms the wifi was very good! The 1st bedroom is well equipped. The 2nd could still have possibilities for hanging laundry etc.. Also more sockets or at least extensions for tech-savvy people would not be a disadvantage :-) I personally did not find the mattress good for me. However, our friends and my husband slept great. With the location, you really have to be aware that you need a car for shopping, going to restaurants, etc.! There is nothing within walking distance except a really beautiful walking environment!

beautiful atmosphere
Very beautiful woodwork, one can tell how much care and love is in the detail. Pleasant smell of wood oil/wax. A wonderfully large bathroom. We like attic apartments - they feel cozy and homely. The atmosphere in the rooms was very good. Great vibes. I found it funny to use the dishes from "the grandma," as they were still in good condition and therefore practical - lived sustainability.

We felt completely comfortable
We organized a three-day seminar at the Weißdornhof and made full use of the entire range of services offered by the farm: seminar room, holiday apartment, 2 tents, sleeping in the hay, use of the garden including campfire. From the preparatory coordination to the on-site implementation, everything went smoothly. The hosts are very friendly and attentive to our wishes. All premises were very well maintained and clean. The seminar room also offered a pleasantly cool room temperature despite the very warm weather. The surrounding nature also invites you to go for hikes. In short: We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.
