Are you looking for peace and relaxation, wishing to leave everyday life behind for a while, enjoy the fascinating landscape of the Sidobre and simply reconnect with nature? Then you’ve come to the right place.
Our authentic 15th-century watermill, lovingly restored, is nestled like a diamond in its setting at the end of a valley, right on the bed of the Agoût river. Its water once drove the millstones of the flour and oil mill; today, it invites you to pause and listen to the voices of nature. At 460 m above sea level, far from noise and traffic, yet only 20 minutes from Castres with all its shops and services, a piece of unspoilt nature awaits you.
Here, you can truly unwind, recharge your batteries and recover from an increasingly stressful working life. For amateur anglers, our mill is a little paradise.
Self-catering cottage LE REFUGE DU PÊCHEUR (The Fisherman’s Refuge)
Capacity: 2–4 guests (up to 5 for parents with 3 children), approx. 42 m²
This cottage is located in the main mill building and has its own entrance. It consists of two large rooms:
* a living/dining area with TV (TNT), a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people (160 × 200 cm), a table seating up to 5, and a well-equipped kitchen with views over the mill courtyard, the adjoining terrace and the river;
* a large bedroom with a raised bed (160 × 200 cm) and a sofa bed (90 × 200 cm); a baby bed is available on request. Shower and toilet are accessible from the bedroom.
LA CABANE DES RÊVES – A little nest high above the Agoût
Do you dream of an intimate hideaway, far from the world, where time seems to stand still?
LA CABANE DES RÊVES is a chalet-style studio cottage, perched on the highest level of our old mill, with a private terrace overlooking the river, in an authentic and unspoilt setting.
This small haven of peace has been completely and carefully renovated. The cottage is arranged over 1½ levels:
Downstairs, a bright living area with a sitting corner (sofa, coffee table), a fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, oven, microwave, blender, 19‑bar coffee machine compatible with all capsules/pods/ground coffee, kettle, stainless-steel cookware, crockery for 2) and a dining corner for two.
Six steps lead up to an alcove with a comfortable bed (160 × 200 cm).
Shower room and separate toilet.
Private terrace equipped with a table, chairs, sun loungers, a parasol and a barbecue, perfect for enjoying your meals and evenings facing the river.
Pets: not allowed in this studio.

Self-catering cottage LE HAVRE SAUVAGE (The Wild Romantic Oasis)
Capacity: 2–4 guests, approx. 40 m²
This cottage, set in an outbuilding of the mill, is arranged over two levels:
Upper level (mezzanine) – accessible via the “miller’s ladder”: an open space housing the sleeping area, equipped with a large raised bed (160 × 200 cm) and a comfortable sofa bed (90 × 200 cm); a baby bed is also available on request.
Lower level:
a living corner with a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people (160 × 200 cm) and TV (TNT);
a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with large fridge and ***freezer compartment;
a table with 4 chairs, with river views and direct access to the river;
a separate toilet and a shower room.
A large terrace with tables, chairs and sun loungers completes the offering.
Double cottage “HAVRE SAUVAGE”
Capacity: 4 to 8/10 guests
Next to the “HAVRE SAUVAGE” cottage is an identical cottage that can be rented in addition to double the capacity. These two cottages are, however, exclusively rented together to the same group or family, never separately.
The two cottages share:
* the large terrace,
* a table seating up to 10, located in a covered outdoor area with barbecue and brasero.
Together, the two properties offer accommodation for 4 to 8/10 guests and are particularly suitable for families or groups of friends who wish to holiday together while retaining their privacy. This is ideal, for example, for two couples travelling together but preferring to have their own separate cottage. Both apartments are identical and furnished in the same way as the “LE HAVRE SAUVAGE” cottage described above.
Rental conditions
High season (July–August):
minimum stay: one week, from Saturday to Saturday.
Howevern in early July, alternative arrival days are possible to avoid motorway traffic jams.
September to June: stays from 2 nights possible.

Location and surroundings of object
Our mill is located at the end of a natural valley at 450m above sea level. Surrounded by pure nature, our holiday flats are a popular holiday destination for hobby anglers and nature lovers (hiking trails from the mill, ). Children have fun looking for crayfish, parents enjoy fishing (or ferniente). Our mill is situated on the bed of the river Tarn, at the foot of Ferrières, outside the village of LE BEZ.
We are located in the natural park of the "Haut-Languedoc" and the "Sidobre", where you will discover spectacular rock formations.
We are surrounded by several villages/small towns in the immediate vicinity: Ferrières (1 km), Le Bez (8 km), Brassac (7 km), Vabre (8 km). Shopping facilities in Brassac, bakery in Brassac, doctors, pharmacy, bank, supermarket in Brassac.
A little further, in CASTRES (19km), you can do bulk shopping.

Pure nature
We were looking for peace and nature and found it here. Very beautiful location in open nature, 2 beautiful water mills facing each other here. We were able to fish right in front of the flat, simply wonderful! The flat is very well equipped, with everything you need and even more. Very clean and well maintained, everything works (is not very often the case in France...). We felt very comfortable and were pleased to meet the Mie family. Gabriele and her son speak German and gave us good advice. We would love to come back!

Wonderfully idyllic
A week's holiday in this water mill is pure relaxation. Very nice hosts, well-equipped flat with all the trimmings, the Sidobre is truly incredible. We liked it very much! Thank you very much!
