1.5 hours from Lyon and 2 hours from Clermont-Ferrand lies the charming village of Chaspinhac. In the hamlet of Brestilhac is the accommodation "Au bout du monde" (At the End of the World). The accommodation rightly bears its name, for behind the hamlet the road ends, giving way to the dizzying gorges of the Loire. The area is enchanting, the stone houses seem to have always been there, nestled in lush nature. The holiday home is located at the end of the village, next to a quiet square, and offers you beautiful living spaces and fully fenced, blooming outdoor areas. Here, peace and joy of life will be the key words for your holiday. The prices include final cleaning. On site: Numerous marked hiking trails. A little further away: Every Wednesday evening there is a farmers’ market in the village of Chaspinhac, visit the remarkable site of St Quintin, the extraordinary gorges of Corboeuf. . . A bit further still: Discover the Haute-Loire and its remarkable sights: the fortress of Polignac, the town of Le Puy en Velay with its numerous UNESCO World Heritage buildings, the gorges of the Loire. . . At the front of the house, a closed courtyard with flowers welcomes you in these premises. On the ground floor of the house you will find a simply and efficiently furnished kitchen, which is very well equipped. On the first floor of the house you will find a living room that leads to a terrace, this room is very bright and has a very high ceiling, a bedroom with two single beds, a bedroom with a 140 cm bed, and finally a bathroom and a WC.
Electricity: From 1 June - 31 August this is included in the rental price.
During the heating period from 1 September - 31 May, 26 kWh / day are included in the rental price. For the excess, the price of €0.20 / kWh applies.

As a Falkenhorst Brestilhac embeds itself on a granite hill, high above the beginnings of the Loire Valley with unique view of Le-Puy-en-Velay in the heart of the Auvergne, the largest extinct volcano landscape in Europe. Time seems to stand still. In re-made-up oven the community bake 'Brestilhacois' their own bread. 1 times a week the trader comes with the season-fruits of the area. Only 13km by car are to Le-Puy-en-Velay, the starting point of the pilgrimage. The medieval town with its famous cathedral and the black Madonna will pull you in its spell. Pure relaxation
We were in this house for 14 days and felt very comfortable. The location in a small hamlet slows you down from the very first moment. In the surrounding area, we hiked a lot, experienced the Haute Loire with beautiful villages and paths, also explored the city of Le Puy, which is practically around the corner, and were thrilled. We and our dog happily returned to the gite for peace and coziness. Since the nearest restaurant was usually fully booked, we used the well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor. We had our SIM router with us, which allowed us to access the internet and German television. We can really recommend the gite for those seeking peace with a dog.

very quiet holiday home
We used the holiday home for a short stopover on our trip through France. The booking and communication with the owner was very uncomplicated and very accommodating. Everything was made possible so that we could move into the house at our desired time. We were given good directions and suggestions for things to do in the area. The house is very quiet. It is absolutely relaxing. It is well and lovingly equipped with everything and nothing stands in the way of a longer stay. The bright living room and the terrace are especially nice. We can highly recommend a stay here.

Pure nature and tranquillity
In the run-up to our booking, the landlady gave us very kind and detailed advice. On site, we found everything as described. The house is very well maintained, spacious and in top condition. With summer temperatures during the day, we were able to take wonderful walks in the unique volcanic landscape of the Auvergne or just relax on the beautiful sun terrace and enjoy the pure air and peace. At Easter it became a bit more crowded in this tiny hamlet; half of the houses are used exclusively as weekend homes or holiday residences. Le Puy-en-Velay is 25 minutes away by car. The medieval town has a lot of charm and especially the weekly market on Saturday is recommended for a stroll!
