Description

Our holiday home consists of 2-3 cosy flats. The large flat (approx. 90 sqm) is well equipped and can also be divided for smaller groups of people. It is interesting for couples who are friends, as it also has two double rooms and two bathrooms. One of the double rooms is also equipped with an additional bunk bed. The spacious living room invites you to relax. A comfortable kitchen with a cosy dining area and a covered outdoor seating area with natural wood garden furniture in the spacious idyllic outdoor area round off the holiday feeling of well-being. It has 1 double room, 1 single room, 1 complete kitchen with cosy dining area, 1 living room, 1 bathroom and 1 separate toilet. There is ample parking space directly in front of the house.

Location and surroundings of object

Set back from the main road to Hohenberg/Eger, our holiday home "Christiane" is in a quiet location in the border village of Schirnding. It is surrounded by meadows and fields on 3 sides. Schirnding is located in the beautiful Fichtelgebirge (nature park in the districts of Wunsiedel and Bayreuth) in the idyllic Röslautal. There are many well-signposted hiking and cycling trails in the wooded surroundings. The market town lies 464 m above sea level and is connected to the international Paris-Prague (Frankfurt-Nuremberg-Marktredwitz-Eger) train line with a border station.
Only 2 km to the 'German Porcelain Museum' in Hohenberg/Eger, and to Hohenberg Castle with its medieval knights' festival every weekend after Whitsun. A healthy, idyllically situated acidulous spring is also within easy reach during a walk from the holiday home.
2 km to the border crossing to the Czech Republic, 9 km to Eger and Franzensbad (-with a beautiful golf course), the spa triangle of Franzensbad, Marienbad and Karlsbad can be reached within a very short time, approx. 2.5 hours by car to Prague. 35 km to the Vogtland (via the Czech Republic). 2 km to factory outlets for porcelain and terry goods from the Feiler company, 4 km to factory outlets for gingerbread from the Frank company and sausages from the Houdek company. 2 km to the German Porcelain Museum in Hohenberg, 4 km to the heated Arzberg open-air swimming pool with giant slide and bistro, 6 km to the Feisnitz reservoir, 6 km to the 'Folklore Equipment Museum' in Bergnersreuth, 9 km to the world-famous Trinity Church 'Kappl' and 12 km to the 'Basilica' Waldsassen.

Everything is great

Short holiday in June 2024 with dog.

Very nice and attentive landlords, clean and well-equipped holiday apartment, large garden that our dog particularly liked, beautiful and interesting destinations nearby, the Schelter family also had good tips ready, would love to come back, absolutely recommendable.

Great accommodation!

1. Landlord very nice and attentive.
2. Accommodation very clean, well equipped.
3. The house has plenty of space for families with children. We really liked it.
The large property invited to play, and as a highlight there was a hot tub, which was used extensively.
In summary: just great!!!!!!!

Great flat, happy to come back!

The accommodation is in a quiet, beautiful location in Schirnding. It is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and
almost perfectly equipped.

Very nice holiday in the Fichtel Mountains

We arrived with 6 adults and had a very nice relaxing holiday. The landlords welcomed us warmly and were very accommodating, helpful and always had very good recommendations (10 extra points for this :-) ). We felt very comfortable and made many excursions. We especially enjoyed the garden with covered terrace and jacuzzi. Thanks again for the use of the barn. Here we could play table tennis very well and use the badminton we brought with us

Very nice holiday home

We were on holiday as a family with 3 generations and rented the whole holiday home for a long weekend
We liked it very much. The equipment and cleanliness of the house and especially the friendliness of the landlords are particularly noteworthy. The house is in a very quiet location and Schirnding is a good starting point for hikes and excursions. We will be happy to come back!

Great house, excellent landlord, highly recommended.

Due to the really good reviews on this site, we decided to stay in this very well-equipped holiday apartment. The house is located in a quiet area, set back from the road directly next to a large meadow, just wonderful. We arrived as a multi-generational large family with a total of 7 people (aged 7-79). We felt very comfortable from the beginning and had a lot of fun as mountain bikers with our Ochsenkopf downhill rides or the PumpTrack in Selb. Our landlord family, Karli and Evi Schelter, are very pleasant, loving, and unobtrusive hosts who were able to give us many tips about their beautiful homeland.
I fondly remember the wonderful time we had, sitting together in the evenings with a beer and talking to each other.
We enjoyed this, but it is not mandatory. If you want peace and quiet, it will also be granted to you. Haus Christiane will be our first choice again on our next visit, that's a fact.

Beautiful holiday home with very nice landlords in a scenic location.

We spent a wonderfully beautiful vacation in this lovely holiday apartment. The house is very centrally located, and you can easily reach Bayreuth, Karlovy Vary, and Mariánské Lázně in the Czech Republic from here. The house leaves nothing to be desired: a beautiful terrace, a fully equipped kitchen with ALL electrical appliances, large bathrooms, a nice living room, and spacious bedrooms. A hot tub in the garden is the icing on the cake. But the best of all are the landlords: one rarely meets such warm and helpful people in life, and this couple makes a vacation in this beautiful house an unforgettable experience. Conclusion: we came as strangers and leave as friends!!!
