Beautiful days on the Rhone
We had lovely days in the holiday home "La Baumette". It is well equipped, even though there is no TV. However, it has a powerful WLAN.
The large sun terrace is a great place to spend time. There are enough tables, chairs and sunbeds and there is a table tennis table and boules balls.
You are away from traffic noise and at most hear something from the neighbouring house (children playing).
The location is good and there are many possibilities for excursions. We went to Nimes, Uzes, Cascades du Sautadet, Mornas and the Ardeche. Of course, the numerous weekly markets are a must - simply wonderful. From the house you can go for a hike or a bike ride with the good bicycles available
The landlord provided us with lots of information in advance and was always open to our questions and concerns. The landlord's family, who live right next door, are also friendly and helpful
It is a pity that the tap water cannot be used as drinking water because of nitrate contamination. But it can be used for cooking,
otherwise you have to get water from the supermarket.
The rooms are large, only the small bedrooms are really only children's or teenagers' rooms
Dog owners need to know that the garden is not completely enclosed.
In summer, you certainly need good mosquito repellent because of the nearby Rhone.
For cool nights there are two good fireplaces and wood is also available.
There is a lot of information material and good cookbooks in the house. We immediately tried out some recipes from them. Delicious!
