We love the Bohemian Forest and have lived here for over 20 years. Our two luxury holiday homes for rent in Šumava are secluded, surrounded by meadows and forests. Deer graze right next to the terrace....
Two beautiful, new design holiday homes are part of a small community called Rajsko near the Otava River on the border of the Sumava National Park in the Czech Republic.
The houses are sensitively set in the landscape on their own plot of 1.8 ha. Rajsko is about 8 km from the old gold mining town of Bergreichenstein and 6 km from the town of Susice.
Houses have an environmentally friendly design for minimal energy consumption and low carbon dioxide emissions. The oak floors are heated by an environmentally friendly energy.
Each house consists of two completely separate identical maisonettes, each with a size of 125 m2 + 40 m2 wooden decks.
Total occupancy 5 beds + 1 cot, the total capacity of 1 cottage 10 beds.
Each flat consists of:
- spacious airy and very bright living room with fully equipped kitchen
- separate WC and dressing room
- Living room with LCD TV opening onto a south-facing terrace with seating and deckchairs
- the lower floor (naturally built into the slope) has 2 bedrooms (1 × 2, 1 × 2 +1)
- Bathroom with two washbasins, shower and separate WC
The kitchen is equipped with all kitchen utensils, induction hob, oven, dishwasher. On request we equip flats with cot, chamber pot, dining chair and changing mat.
Each flat has a separate entrance. Flats in the cottage are acoustically and visually separated by a large central entrance area with a glass roof, a sitting area and a view of the Otava River valley.

Bavaria border is only 25 minutes away from our house. Staying with us you can also discover southern part of the Bohemian Forest called Bavarian Forest. There are many beautiful hiking and places to see.

Shopping
Groceries
Our houses are secluded, so the nearest grocery shop is about 5 minutes by car in Hartmanice. There you will find all basic groceries as well as many things for the household.
In Susice (10 minutes by car) you will find some well known chains or supermarkets like Tesco, Lidl, Billa ... They are open daily from to
Household etc.
Basically you can find almost everything in Susice - there are many small shops as well as 3 pharmacies.
Transport
Even with good municipal transport it is difficult to stay in our houses without a car. However, there is a bus stop about 400m from our houses. Buses go to Susice railway stations. At weekends there is a bus connection to Prague.
Post offices
The nearest post office is in Hartmanice (3km). To write a card, you need to buy a 17 Kč stamp.
Hospital
The nearest hospital with emergency service is in Susice (10 minutes). As we live next door we can help you if you have some serious problems.

Rajsko cottages by the talented architect Peter Lacko are inspired by the traditional houses of Šumava. Therefore, the front veranda is not missing here and the entrances are reminiscent of the old hay entrances into the attic.
In the Rajsko cottages, we have managed to combine traditional Šumava architecture with new, modern elements - light and airy, light, wood, glass. This will make you feel comfortable and free. Your children have plenty of space to play....
