The spacious, well-equipped holiday home is perfect for couples, families with children as well as small groups to relax!
You will find a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove, 4 separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious kitchen with a large dining table. Here you can not only cook and eat comfortably at will, but also spend nice play evenings. The large hallway is especially popular with children and dogs. The sauna offers additional holiday comfort.
Our guests have an area of approx. 2000 m² at their own disposal in the outdoor area.
In front of the house is a large area with garden furniture, loungers, barbecue and a playground. From there you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Geltinger Bay. At the house there is a garden of approx. 400 m² fenced in for our guests with dogs.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located on an old, no longer farmed estate directly at the Geltinger Bay. From the farm, you have a wonderful view across the field to the natural beach, which is only 700 m away. A hiking trail directly from the farm leads you there. In summer, you can buy bread rolls on foot at the Gelting Mole harbour. This is especially appreciated by our guests with dogs. The nearest dog beach in Wackerballig is only 1.5 km away and very easy to reach via the hiking trail.
For our younger guests, there is a very nice playground in Geltingmole. Several restaurants are within walking distance from us.
You can also reach the famous nature reserve "Geltinger Birk" on foot or by bike. There you can watch wonderful sunrises and sunsets, the wild horses that were released in 2002 and a variety of bird species, possibly also the white-tailed eagle.
The entire area around Geltinger Birk is a paradise for cyclists and hikers. There is a well-developed network of paths along the Baltic Sea and inland. Our farm is 1 km away from the Kneipp health resort of Gelting. Here you will find several restaurants, cafes and an ice cream parlour.
There are various shopping facilities, a pharmacy, banks, a tourist information office, several doctors, and also a vet. Special sights are the Katharinenkirche church and the castle.
The Gelting region has many beautiful excursion destinations for young and old, as well as a wide range of leisure activities: Boat and bicycle rental, sailing and surfing schools, an excellent kitesurfing area in Wackerballig,tennis courts, a miniature golf course, several riding stables and fishing opportunities (also deep-sea fishing tours), a nature experience centre, 2 marinas in Wackerballig and Geltingmole. Sports and thermal swimming pools, open-air pools, a water-skiing facility, a high ropes course, various museums, an indoor playground and a family leisure park are all within a radius of 20-30 km. Not to forget the wonderful Baltic Sea beaches ranging from very shallow for small children to the open Baltic Sea
The harbour town of Flensburg, close to the Danish border, as well as Schleswig with its cathedral, the famous museums in Gottorf Castle and the Viking Museum in Haithabu are varied excursion destinations in any weather and at any time of year.

Recreation at the Baltic Sea
We stayed with 3 adults and 3 dogs for a week at the beautiful Ohrfeld estate in the Kutscherhaus! The house was very nice and big so that we felt very comfortable and also the 3 dogs had enough space ! The equipment was excellent and the furnishing very cosy. The house is very centrally located not far from Kappeln and the dog beaches. Restaurants and shopping facilities are also very close. We had a relaxing week in the Kutscherhaus and can highly recommend it.

Perfect
Thank you very much for 2 weeks of holiday in a place you can't wish for more beautiful. We were allowed to stay in a beautiful house that leaves nothing to be desired and if we had had any wishes our hosts would certainly have fulfilled them. It was the perfect holiday for us, with the Baltic Sea right on our doorstep and hiking trails from the house that were great for our Balu. If I could give 10 stars I would. Many thanks to the family, you can feel that they do it with love so that you feel at home.
We will be back next year, that's for sure.

Great vacation apartment on an old estate.
We were at Gut Ohrfeld with five people at the end of May. The hosts were very friendly and always helpful. The house is fantastic. There is lots of space, good beds and great equipment. You can reach the Baltic Sea on foot in 5-10 minutes via a field path directly from the manor. From the manor you have a direct view over cornfields to the Baltic Sea. We will be back! Thank you for a few wonderful days.

In November at the Baltic Sea
For one week, we had rented a vacation house at Gut Ohrfeld after staying at Bauckhof Stütensen (social therapeutic farm and community, Lower Saxony). We felt comfortable in the house as soon as we arrived - spacious, cozy, very well-equipped, with a view of the Baltic Sea outside and quickly accessible to the water. We enjoyed beautiful trips to Kappeln, Flensburg, Schleswig, but the good thing was so close by. The hosts and their kindness, the location, the charming female dog, and every morning horses that greet you. Class! Thank you. Heike, Barbara, Philipp, Philippe, Özge, and Maria.
