Description
A new flat has been created in the old barn of our three-sided farm. It is bright and friendly and with a size of 150 m² offers plenty of space for 6 people.
There are 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. In each bedroom there is a double bed. Two of the bedrooms have a sofa bed, making it possible to add an extra bed for two people. If required, a cot can also be added.
In the living area you will find a wooden table, which can be extended if necessary, so that up to 12 people can sit at it. You will also find a cosy sitting area in the living area.
The kitchen, which is integrated into the living area, has a cooker with oven, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, a kettle, etc., as well as a large refrigerator with a freezer section.
There is underfloor heating in all rooms.
From each bedroom you have a view into the "green", onto our meadow orchard and further onto well-known rock massifs and mountains of Saxon Switzerland.
A large garden with a seating area under the willow belongs to the flat.

Our farm is located between meadows and fields, a bit away from the village, and yet it is only a 15-minute walk to the spa town of Bad Schandau with various shopping facilities, restaurants, pubs, the National Park Centre and a connection to bus, ferry and train in the direction of Pirna, Dresden, Sebnitz, etc. You can also reach the Kirnitzschtalbahn railway. Our property is approx. m² in size and offers plenty of undisturbed space to play and romp, relax and unwind with its meadow orchard, pond, old lime tree and willow. Rathmannsdorf-Höhe is situated on a plateau above the Elbe valley above Bad Schandau. From the village and also from our farm you have a unique panoramic view of all the well-known rock massifs of Saxon Switzerland and at the same time a good starting point for many beautiful hikes, climbing and cycling tours, boat trips and much more.

Quiet living without WLAN.
We spent 2 weeks in the large Kaiserkrone vacation apartment with our two dogs. The apartment and the location are perfect. We especially liked that all three bedrooms have their own bathroom. However, it was not mentioned anywhere that the apartment is on the first floor and the stairs do not meet the norm. Guests with mobility impairments have a problem with this. The furnishings, including the colors, are well thought out and matched to the building. There is plenty of space to feel comfortable. However, the futon mattresses are not to everyone's taste. Because of its location facing the courtyard, the living and dining room, despite the two floor-to-ceiling windows, do not have direct natural light, and we had to turn on the lights in the mornings, even now in the height of summer. However, the bedrooms with the phenomenal view are bright and friendly. We are self-employed and rely on Wi-Fi even on vacation. It didn't work on any day, so buying additional data is essential. This should be communicated by the landlords so that you can prepare in advance and bring your mobile office. The outdoor area had nothing to do with the pictures on the website in this hot summer and looked a little neglected. We could only use it without our four-legged companion because the free-roaming rabbits and chickens are not only fun for children, and the large house dog defends her territory. However, it is a wonderful quiet place in the middle of a charming landscape.
