This beautiful holiday wooden house was renovated in 2025, located on a lovely, undisturbed natural plot near Sønderstrand. Here you can swim in the North Sea, ride a kite buggy or land sail, or fly a kite.
The house has a sheltered terrace with garden furniture, the terrace is partly covered.
The house borders a dune, here you will almost always find shelter from the wind on the terraces.

Location and surroundings of object
Large natural plot of 2500 m2 borders a dune, with a distance of 1500 meters to the grocer, 1200 meters to the restaurant, and 1200 meters to the coast/beach. The island of Rømø lies directly north of Sylt in the Wadden Sea and can be reached by car from Skaerbaek via a 10 km long dam. The west coast of Rømø is one vast beach – the widest in Northern Europe – and is therefore mostly accessible by car. The places are located on the east side, but the distances to the beach are small due to the island’s small size. The holiday home area Toftum lies in the north of the island, nestled in hilly heathland. The holiday homes and apartments are spread out across the beautiful landscape and can be reached via gravel roads. Shopping facilities are available in Kongsmark, about 4 km away, and in the large shopping center in Lakolk, the only place on Rømø’s west side. North of Toftum there is a horse boarding stable and a fishing lake, in Kongsmark an interesting nature center. In and near Havneby, the port town in the south of Rømø, there are various leisure facilities such as an amusement park with adventure pool, riding stable, golf course, a large wellness center, a provider of kayak tours and a surf center with rental of kite buggies and the like. From Havneby you can also take the ferry for an excursion to Sylt. The next larger town is Skaerbaek on the mainland, about 16 km from Toftum.

Activities
Perhaps you will also have the opportunity to take part in the kite festival, which always takes place on the first weekend in September. There you can admire countless kites in all possible shapes and colors. If you’re into action, you can challenge each other on the 920 m long go-kart track at the 'Skærbæk Gokart Center' and experience speed and excitement, while water lovers can enjoy themselves in the swimming pool at Skærbæk Fritidscenter with, among other things, a water slide, diving boards, warm water pool, and sauna (16 km).
If you are a golfer, the golf courses of the following clubs are available: Arrild Golf Club (30 km), Ribe Golf Klub (36 km), and Toftlund Golf Club (37 km).

Very beautiful holiday home
We had a very nice time in this great vacation rental. The landlord is very nice and attentive to our wishes. The surroundings are very quiet and ideal if you just want to relax in peace. There are many opportunities for hiking. The equipment of the vacation house is excellent, and although it was really cold outside at times, heating the fireplace is not absolutely necessary, but of course very romantic. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful house in a quiet location with everything you need to live. The perfect place to relax. Easily accessible from the mainland via the dam by car. Great beach.
