After an eventful day in our surroundings, you can relax with a novel from our small book collection in the reading room or with a good film in the living room (satellite TV and DVD available).
Perhaps you will tell your friends about your impressions and experiences of your relaxing and eventful holiday via the internet.
If you like cooking, our fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator/freezer combination, dishwasher, built-in cooker with ceramic hob, coffee maker, kettle, microwave and toaster, offers the possibility to realise your culinary skills. In the dining area of the large living room you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner in a cosy atmosphere.
The two comfortably furnished bedrooms promise a quiet and restful night. For the sweet dreams of our little guests, we are happy to provide a small children's bed.
A nice relaxing bath in the spacious bathtub in the bathroom is guaranteed to make you forget about everyday life.
Enjoy the sun's rays on the covered balcony or on the lawn in the garden. Meanwhile, our younger guests can let off steam in our generously equipped playroom, play in the sandbox in the garden or explore the nearby adventure playground.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday flat is located in the national park village of Altenlotheim, just a few minutes by car from the Edersee, one of the most beautiful reservoirs in Germany, right next to Hessen's only national park - the Kellerwald-Edersee, in the heart of Germany, in the holiday region of Waldecker Land. Our national park village Altenlotheim received the silver plaque in the federal competition 'Our village has a future'. The holiday village with about 700 inhabitants is situated in the valley, surrounded by a forest landscape.
Two restaurants, a butcher's shop, a village shop with a café, bicycle rental and direct access to the National Park make Altenlotheim an ideal holiday destination for a variety of excursions. The Edersee, one of the largest and cleanest reservoirs in Germany, can be reached in a few minutes by car, or on one of the cycling or hiking routes.
The lake is a pleasure for water lovers in every respect. The entrance to the national park "Kellerwald-Edersee" is about 200 m away from the holiday flat.
In the national park, which is enclosed by the nature park of the same name, you can experience the special features and the forests with all your senses on adventure trails, on hiking or cycling routes or on circular hiking trails.
The nearby half-timbered towns, Frankenberg and Korbach, as well as the town of Bad Wildungen with the largest spa park in Europe, invite you to take a stroll.
Or visit the baroque castle in Bad Arolsen. The town of Willingen, with its annual World Cup ski jumping event on the world's largest ski jump, is not far away.
For children, this holiday will be a real adventure.
Whether goats, sheep, horses or cows directly in the immediate vicinity on the meadows or red deer and wild boars in the forest, here you can observe the most diverse animals at close range, in free nature.
The approx. 4 km long Heide-Erlebnispfad (heath adventure trail) leads directly past the holiday flats.
The holiday flat is equipped with an additional playroom of 17 m².
Further play opportunities are located in the garden. An adventure playground is about 100 m away from the holiday home.
The direct location at the Kellerwald - Edersee National Park as well as the proximity to Lake Edersee show what a dreamlike environment the holiday home is situated in.
