Description

65 m² ground floor flat with 2 bedrooms, 4 beds and 2 toilets.

The approx. 65 m² ground floor flat has 3 rooms, shower room and separate guest toilet. The central point of the flat is the large living and dining room with open kitchen. As a retreat, the flat has two separate bedrooms. The bathroom contains a shower, washbasin and toilet. A separate room contains the 'guest' toilet with washbasin and opaque external window.

In the kitchen you will find a cooker with ceramic hob, an oven, a microwave and the extractor bonnet. Of course, the kitchen also houses a dishwasher and a fridge (with a large freezer separate from the fridge). Other appliances such as an egg boiler, coffee maker, toaster, kettle etc. are of course also available.

The dining room is designed for 4 people, for the dining room table there are several chairs and 1 East Frisian bench. So nothing stands in the way of a cosy games evening with friends. Of course, you will find a large selection of board games in the flat, so that even in absolutely dreary weather there will be no boredom.

The living area contains a three-seater leather sofa and a leather TV armchair with footrest. The TV is connected to the satellite system, so all the usual TV channels are easy to find. Of course, there is music equipment in the flat for listening to CDs and radio.

The flat has two bedrooms: one of the bedrooms has a double bed, the other has a normal bed and a loft bed. Both bedrooms are equipped with wardrobes, bedside tables, reading lamps, etc. and can be darkened via roller blinds. One of the bedrooms has a safe.

The bathroom is equipped with shower, WC, washbasin, illuminated mirror cabinet, hairdryer and washing machine. The guest WC has a separate washbasin with mirror.

From the living room you can access the paved terrace behind the house. This terrace is largely shielded from the view of others and belongs exclusively to this flat. On the terrace you will find a seating area with table and 4 adjustable chairs. The lawn of this flat starts next to the terrace.
Internet access via wifi will be available from April 2020.
And if you would like to spend your holiday with two families, we recommend our somewhat smaller ground floor flat in the house diagonally opposite (Dresdener Str. 7c). However, pets are not allowed here. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Location and surroundings of object

The ground floor flat at Dresdener Str. 8a is located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Norden towards the coast. It is only about 2 km to the North Sea coast and to the city centre of Norden, which you can easily cycle in a few minutes with the bicycles belonging to the flat. Norden is one of the oldest towns in East Frisia and has about 25,000 inhabitants. This makes it the fourth largest town in East Frisia, which has the advantage that you can get everything for your daily needs there. In addition to the very nice shops in the pedestrian zone, there are several shopping centres, a library, cinema, etc. Norden is the most north-westerly town on the German mainland. The region around Norden is mainly characterised by agriculture and tourism. The town has a good 27 kilometres of dyke line. The market square with Ludgeri Church, the pedestrian zone with many small shops and the tea museum are worth seeing.

Norddeich belongs to Norden and is known for its seal breeding station, its open-air swimming pool and the 'Ocean Wave' adventure pool with its 105-metre-long large slide. For children there is an adventure playground, the fairytale ship and a children's playhouse. You will find the Haus des Gastes directly on the beach. Norden-Norddeich is a state-recognised North Sea spa with. Ferry connections to Norderney and Juist. If you don't feel like taking a ferry, you can also fly to the islands by plane or simply book a sightseeing flight along the coast. The corresponding airfield is in Norddeich.

In addition to the green, sandy and dog beaches, Norddeich also has a surf school where beginners and advanced surfers can learn to surf and kite surf.

Guided mudflat walks are constantly offered for the whole family during the season.

The area is beautiful for extended cycling tours. In addition, the paddle and pedal stations in Leybuchtsiel, Norden and Hage offer you the opportunity to switch between canoe and bicycle from station to station.

Excursions to Lütetsburg Castle Park, the historic market square in Norden, the dike mill, the Frisa Mill with the shell and snail museum and the Westgater Mill with daily grinding demonstrations and baking in the historic oven are also worthwhile.

Relaxing is the trip with the museum railway through the wide marshland landscape from Norden to Dornum.

If desired, bed linen and/or towels can be rented from the house management. The rental fee is 12 euros per person (bed linen and towels together). The fee increases by 10 euros per dog brought along.

great holiday apartment

We were there in May for 24 days and again in July with 3 adults and a dog in this beautiful, quiet vacation apartment. The location is perfect, whether for shopping, going to the beach, strolling around, or exploring the nearby area, such as Greetsiel or Esens; everything is quickly reachable. The apartment has everything you need, and the fenced garden property and the parking space right in front of the door are also very good. We will recommend the apartment further.

Very nice apartment and great location

We were in the apartment in the summer of 2023, at a time with very bad weather. Because of the heavy rain, we also spent a lot of time in the apartment. The size of the apartment with several rooms was very good, there were even 2 televisions available.
Furthermore, the apartment was very nice and practically furnished, we didn't miss anything. The fenced garden right next to the car park was also great. Shopping facilities were within walking distance, the area was very quiet, hardly any car traffic.
We felt very comfortable in the apartment and will definitely come back again.

Very beautiful and spacious apartment

Very well suited for a 4-person family with a dog. Plenty of space, fenced garden, even 2 toilets. Due to its location exactly between the city center and the coast, it is ideally located and all destinations can be reached very quickly by bike. We felt very comfortable and will stay in this apartment again next year.

Heart, what more do you want?

Not only is the very large, very clean, and very well-maintained apartment highly recommended! The extremely nice, friendly contact with the landlord and the on-site service team should also be mentioned. Also, the fact that we could spend a short vacation (4 days) with a medium-sized dog there is not a matter of course! Booking a stay from Thursday to Sunday without any problems - where else does that happen? With a dog, too? We immediately seized the opportunity! The small, completely fenced garden, in wonderfully quiet (also traffic-calmed!) surroundings ensures a relaxed dog and thus also relaxed dog owners :-) Therefore, our unrestricted recommendation - we will gladly come back.

Sehr schöne und gepflegte Ferienwohnung

We have been staying in this vacation rental for many years and can highly recommend it. The apartment is located in Norden, roughly in the middle between the city center and the coast, with shopping opportunities right around the corner. Situated on the ground floor, the apartment opens up to a terrace directly from the living room. Parking space for the car is right next to it. So far, we have lacked nothing. If something doesn't work, the property manager comes by directly and takes care of the problem. We have been very satisfied so far and will vacation here again next year.
