Between the seaside towns of Bremerhaven and Cuxhaven, in the middle of the UNESCO "Wadden Sea World Heritage Site", you will find the coastal resort of Dorum-Neufeld. A big thank you to the Menze family. The Thielen family thanks you for a relaxing week in your holiday apartment in Dorum-Neufeld. The holiday home is very lovingly and cozily furnished and designed. From the first second, you feel right at home. The holiday home is also in a top location and very bright. We can only say "Always a pleasure."

Great house with top equipment.
We chose this house without having been to the North Sea before. We were there in the off-season in winter, just to relax for a few days and have some nice evenings with friends. Therefore, we cannot judge how it is in the summer when the holiday park is fully booked. The individual houses are each about 10 meters apart with their own garden. The Menzel house is surrounded by a hedge and is located at the end of the area, so it has at least two fewer neighbors than other houses. It is located on a meadow area and you can walk to the sea in less than 10 minutes. Restaurants, pubs, and snack bars are 5 to 10 minutes away. The house has a small shed for garden furniture, its own grill, and a bicycle stand on the terrace. At the entrance of the house, there is a hose at the water connection, probably to rinse off the sand from your feet in the summer. These are all things that we obviously did not use in the winter. The house is tiled, which makes keeping it clean very pleasant. The open kitchen in the living and dining area is equipped with everything a kitchen enthusiast needs. Even an immersion blender was available. I usually bring my own good knives, but that would not have been necessary in this case.
The kitchen has a four-burner stove, a high-quality set of pots and pans, as well as a dishwasher, coffee maker, and Senseo pad machine. The living room has a leather sofa set with a three-seater, two-seater, and an armchair. There is a flat-screen TV with HDMI and USB ports. The TV has a very clear sound and even includes a Skype package. The free Wi-Fi is very good and reaches far into the park. Access is provided upon arrival. A note about the park: the Ventini restaurant (right next to the reception) is a no-go! Very bad quality at high prices.
But let's continue here... The Wi-Fi allowed all our devices, about 6, to function at peak performance without any issues. Online video streaming services like maxdome and Watchever were no problem. You just need a device, like a PlayStation 3.
Moving on to the living room: the fireplace is nice and large. We didn't buy the firewood from the reception, which was about 2.00 EUR more expensive, but instead bought it directly from supermarkets in Dorum. A 10 kg pack of fireplace briquettes, for example. At Edeka for 3.00 euros (enough for a day of continuous firing, and always use residual heat).
The bedrooms have good beds, which is often a drawback during holidays. Not here. There is a master bedroom with a double bed and a cot, a children's room with separate beds opposite (both under the roof), and a bedroom on the ground floor also with separate beds that we could easily push together. They did not slide apart, as they are solid wood furniture. There is a bathroom on the ground floor with a shower (and by the way, a really great hairdryer... Not something you usually find in a vacation home) and a toilet with a sink on the upper floor.
Yes. Otherwise, it can be said: high-quality equipment carefully selected. Everything clean and also pleasant, even to keep clean. There is also a storage cupboard with a broom, dustpan, and vacuum cleaner. Value for money is great! Have paid 100 eur in additional costs for 6 days for 4 people at temperatures around 2 °C. In the summer, it is certainly less. We can only recommend this house.
