Idyllically situated at the foot of the "Serra de Cercal," the holiday home lies at the end of a country lane, surrounded by gentle hills.
In the midst of nature, you will be indulged here with pure tranquility.
Here you have the opportunity to let your soul unwind, or to enjoy extensive walks through unspoiled landscapes.
On two levels you will find . . .
in the entrance area a cozy pull-out couch seating area, on which 2 adults or children can sleep comfortably, satellite TV, and a wood-burning stove. Open to this living area is the fully equipped, beautiful, bright kitchen, with (4-burner gas stove with oven, refrigerator, pots, pans, dishes and cutlery) and the dining area.
The bright, spacious bathroom with shower/bathtub, washbasin and toilet offers guests plenty of space to spread out and feel comfortable. On the upper floor
is the main bedroom with a large double bed (2x2m) and an open, spacious shelf where you can store your clothes with plenty of air.
In this room, there is also enough space to set up another bed (90x180) to provide a sleeping place for a child.
For the little ones, there is also a baby cot.
A half-glazed wooden door leads you to a terrace. Enjoy from there the wonderful view of cork oaks, rockroses, eucalyptus trees, and old olive trees – typical of the Alentejo.
Another small terrace with seating is located in front of the entrance area of the house.

I am Evelyn Junkermann and have lived here in the Alentejo for 34 years, have come to love it, and would like to give you, through my holiday house, the opportunity to experience and feel what it is like to live here. The energy supply for my house and the holiday home is organized exclusively via a solar system (3.5 KW), which reliably provides us with electricity—thanks to a careful use of energy (power guzzlers like hairdryers therefore have to stay at home), as they are heavy consumers; sun and wind replace them.
I love nature and always have a garden, from which I am happy to offer my guests something depending on the season. Especially in summer, it is fun to harvest tomatoes, lettuce and much more fresh.
I am happy to provide you with further information and tips, also during your stay.
Dogs are welcome here for an extra charge of 7 euros per day and four-legged friend.

Located in the Alentejo The Alentejo is a touristy little developed region of Portugal, sanftügelige Setting rate landscapes interspersed with mountain ranges and high Plato. The unique coastal strip is part of the Natural Park "Sudoeste Vicentine Coast" and provides an ideal habitat for a diverse fauna and flora. Here you wonderful hiking opportunities on several marked hiking tours. The coast is full of beautiful beaches and bays, as Malhão, Vila Nova de Milfontes. With the mouth of the Mira (particularly suitable for families with small children!) Almograve Zambujeira do Mar or Carvalhal Invite you to be a physically active - or just to dangle the soul. The nearest towns are Cercal do Alentejo (5 km) and São Luis (7 km). Both are accessible via a good gravel road to be traveled to (about 3 miles) easy. They offer everything for your daily needs (butchers, bakers, supermarkets and public markets), several cafes and restaurants. Vila Nova de Milfontes is the closest town to the sea (19 km - about 15 minutes by car).

| The price includes bed linen, towels, electricity, gas . For 4 bee fellow travelers I charge 5 euros daily, they have here plenty of space to let off steam, no fences or fixed runs :) If you plan a longer stay (2 to 3 months), we can talk about a special price. On this property there is another house. This house is also completely equipped. If you are interested I will send you photos. Enjoy your holiday and spend some time in an oasis of peace in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Alentejo. |

Peace and seclusion
Evelyn Junkermann is an uncomplicated landlady who is very concerned about the satisfaction of her customers. The holiday cottage is bright and functionally furnished. Those who love seclusion and tranquillity will definitely feel at home here. It is nice to find a place where you can only hear the rustling of the trees, the buzzing of insects, the swallows, the nightingales, etc. and the occasional cowbell. The roads are dirt and it's a bit out of town, but there's a lot you can do from there. We cycled directly along the dirt road a few kilometres further on the European footpath and got right to the sea or to the neighbouring villages and with almost no car traffic. Cercal do Alentejo is 5 km from the house and there you will find cafes, restaurants, supermarkets (small Portuguese ones) and also a small market.
