Location and surroundings of object
The holiday flat Swantje is located within a quiet complex (dead-end street) only approx. 200 m from the Schlei. Lindaunis is a picturesque village on the Schlei, where the 'country doctor' has been at home for over 20 years. The Lindaunis Bridge is well known, opening every hour for about 15 minutes to allow sailing ships and larger boats to pass up and down the Schlei. The marina, which is also visited by excursion boats in summer, is only 250 m away from our holiday flat 'Swantje'. Moorings for your own boat can also be rented here.
The Schlei is a paradise for anglers. There is a bathing spot on the Schlei only a few hundred metres from our holiday flat. You can discover the Schlei region on extensive bicycle tours and hikes. Romantic inns and cafés invite you to linger. Golf lovers can also choose from several golf courses in the immediate vicinity.
The beautiful beaches of the Baltic Sea are only about 20 minutes away by car.
In Lindaunis itself there is a bakery and a butcher as well as two restaurants and a kiosk.
Shopping facilities are available in Süderbrarup, 8 km away. Northern Germany's largest fair ('Brarup Markt') is held here every year on the last weekend in July. Also only a few kilometres away is the small town of Kappeln, which, like Lindaunis, is often used as a film location for the country doctor - better known as 'Deekelsen'. Here you have a variety of shopping opportunities in picturesque streets and alleyways and can enjoy all kinds of gastronomic offers directly on the Schlei.
The district town of Schleswig, 25 km away, is also recommended for strolling and shopping. Here you will find Gottorf Castle and the Viking Museum 'Haithabu', both of which are well worth a visit. Your children will love the Tolk show in Tolk near Schleswig!
Eckernförde, 'the most beautiful town in Germany', is just as inviting for a walk in the harbour as for a visit to the beach. The seawater wave pool is also recommended here.
