Quiet little cottage on the slope of Vogler.

We were here for a weekend and could take a little break from everyday life. The cottage is well equipped (kitchen cabinets with all the appliances that exist), enough towels were provided. A modern, small and fine bathroom with shower.

You could see that this place is not lived in regularly, but only rented out - the clocks went differently and none of them were really correct. The neighbor's dog barked every time we entered the garden.

The price was a bit high for the standard due to the short stay.

A beautiful location and it was easy to reach someone if we had any questions.

Pure holiday

We are currently in the holiday home with our dog.
The house leaves nothing to be desired and we feel very comfortable here. Especially our dog enjoys the large and well fenced garden. The location of the house is very good. You can go hiking in the forest very quickly and you can also get to the city with its sights very quickly.
The landlady is very nice, as are the neighbours. Everything is available in the house and very clean.
Luckily we still have 4 days and will certainly come back.

Short holiday

We don't have to lie like the Baron von Münchhausen when we say it was a very nice holiday. The beautiful holiday home and the peace and quiet were just wonderful to relax from everyday life. The holiday home is simply super equipped and very clean. The Weserbergland and the surrounding area are really worth a visit. We can only thank the landlords for the wonderful week.

Wonderful autumn holiday

great location, quiet and yet everything within walking distance, shops, pubs, Bodenwerder's beautiful centre with many old half-timbered houses. In October, wonderful autumn colours of the deciduous trees, hiking trails directly from the house.


Good facilities. Bathroom small but modern. Panoramic view from the garden.

The flat was perfect for our family.
We were welcomed with fresh fruit.
We have made many excursions from here and our landlady has tried very hard to organise everything to our satisfaction.
You only have to ask. (We did not see the fans and therefore unfortunately sweated a bit :-))

Beautiful holiday in Bodenwerder in the Eidens holiday home

Hello Mrs Zaeske and Mrs Damm,
We liked your house with its fenced garden, Bodenwerder and the Weserbergland.
The house had everything we needed, even an electric bread slicer and a landline telephone.
We hadn't realised that the Weserbergland was so mountainous.
It was very entertaining and also exhausting
Königszinne, Bismarkturm, Bodoturm and Lutterburgblick, the beautiful old town and its restaurants. And all that on foot.
The excursions to the Nostalgie Cafe in Gutshaus Wickensen and Hämelschenburg Castle in Emmerthal are also highly recommended.
The small deficiencies that we had were remedied by them as quickly as possible, for which many thanks again.
We will certainly be back again.

House in the woods with a view

We, 2 adults and a dog, stayed with you in the beautiful Weserbergland for a few days. We really liked it. The house with the large (enclosed) garden had everything we needed. We were greeted with champagne and fruit. Everything was very clean. We were able to manage well in the kitchen. Beds freshly made. Overall: It couldn't be better. Highly recommended.

Super Urlaub

The holiday home has everything you need. The garden (completely fenced) is very well maintained and very large. Our dogs loved the meadow. The neighbors are very nice and helpful. Bodenwerder? ... we hadn't even heard of it before ... but it's worth a visit. The Weserbergland is simply great and we recovered wonderfully. A big thanks to the fairy godmother of the house. We have never been to the same place twice ... but Bodenwerder (Holiday Home Eidens) we will come back.

Tolles Ferienhaus

Beautiful holiday home in a great location in Bodenwerder. Friendly landlords, always available. Very nice large garden, perfect for a vacation with a dog. The equipment is also very good. We have been there for the 2nd time now, definitely not the last time.

Entspannte Ferien

We were completely satisfied: The house and the furnishings are exactly as described, and we didn't miss anything! Especially the living room with sofa and dining table offers enough space even for 5 people. Apart from that, the property with two terraces and the huge garden was ideal for our summer vacation: plenty of seating, sunbathing, playing, and romping opportunities. We had a question in between: the contacts were easily reachable and everything could be clarified quickly and friendly. Also, regarding the surroundings, the holiday home is very conveniently located. You live absolutely quietly and close to the forest. Both the town of Bodenwerder and the surrounding area offer a variety of excursion destinations. Nature, exercise, relaxation, and culture - there is something for everyone. Happy to come back!

Relaxation in the Weser Uplands

The holiday home is located in a quiet location on the outskirts of Bodenwerder. The facilities are well-equipped. Everything necessary is available. Even - and this is rare in holiday homes - enough space in closets to unpack suitcases. However, two of the bedrooms are really small and primarily suitable for sleeping. The living-dining room or the well-furnished garden area are more suitable for relaxing. A wonderful place to stay! Only the night storage electric oven is a bit cumbersome.

We had a cozy holiday. Beautiful large garden, especially our dog loved it. It did itch sometimes to do something about the weeds in the garden. My husband was a gardener for 11 years and even came up with the idea to take care of the garden in exchange for another week of vacation since we were enjoying ourselves so much.

Helpful and uncomplicated.

Very accommodating landlords have made it possible for a short-term retreat for two in a good, quiet location. Everything around it was fitting, large enclosed property, plenty of space in the house.

Not suitable for all holidaymakers.

The whole house - all rooms smelled musty and stuffy, despite constantly open windows and doors, as long as you were in the house. After the vacation, we had to wash all clothes, suitcases, bags, towels, shoes, and toiletries - even those that were just hanging in the closet - at home. The equipment is mediocre. The living room couch is hard as a board - not suitable for sitting, lying, or resting. The shower could not be adjusted or locked in place. There was only one house key. The road to the property has so much incline that older and disabled people, especially those with wheelchairs, walkers, or walking aids, have real problems. Therefore, the area is less suitable for non-drivers, as there is also no public transportation. The kitchen equipment, dishes, cutlery, and electronic devices were good and sufficient. All electrical appliances listed in the house description are present and ok. The surrounding area and the Weser River offer many attractions and recreational activities of almost every kind.

Im Lande Münchhausens

We do not evaluate this holiday home in the style of the lying baron Münchhausen: We felt very comfortable with the wonderful view and garden, we did not test all the 6 sleeping accommodations (but most of them) and spent relaxing days due to the amenities (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, 2 showers and toilets, TV, WiFi, sufficient crockery and cookware...) In 100m distance (small short climb) begins a well-signposted hiking area. Cycling along the Weser is a relaxing way to travel. In the vicinity, you will find many interesting buildings (Stift Fischbeck, Kloster Marienmünster, Hameln) and excursion destinations (e.g., Bad Karlshafen, Gierseilfähre near Lippoldsberg, Wildpark Neuhaus or Wisentgehege in Springe, Indoor-Spielpark Ratzfatz in Hameln). Those who enjoy riding on winding roads will feel at home in the Rühler Schweiz, Solling, or on the Ith. If you're lucky like us, you'll also get to experience the Lights Festival "die Weser brennt." We'll continue to share more about this vacation, the accommodation, and the area, and hope that some of you will visit as a result. PS: Unfortunately, we couldn't click on the stars - we rate it 4x very good! Mr. Gabriel's care was also very good, personal, friendly, and reliable.

Cozy, beautifully located holiday home in a quiet area on the Veluwe.

We had a lovely holiday in the cozy, beautifully located house. Everything is available in this house. The view of the valley and the sunset is fantastic. The house is located on the edge of the forest. The large garden with several terraces offers plenty of space and privacy. The Weserbergland region is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
