Description

Villa Caprifogli is a quiet place ideally located 1,5 Kms from the town of Alghero, in a romantic setting of olive trees and fragrant gardens filled with aromatic plants and trees
The property has limestone walls and is located over two floors. Perfect for large families or groups of friends, it sleeps 8 people in four bedrooms (+1). For a smaller group there is the possibility of renting only one floor, each floor may be completely independent from the other with a private entrance .

The upper floor is 50 sqm, and consists of a dining-room, kitchen, bathroom and two bed-rooms (a king size double-bed and two single beds). All the furniture is hand-crafted and elegant, the dining-room has traditional carved chestnut furnishing and a chestnut wooden, beamed ceiling. From the huge west facing veranda (35 sqm) you can accompany your summery dinner whilst admiring amazing sunsets over the sea.
The ground floor, (80 sqm), consists of a kitchen, dining-room, two bathrooms, two bedrooms (one with a king size double-bed and the other with two single beds which can be put together to form a double bed). Adjoining the two bedrooms there is another smaller room containing a single sofa-bed. Finished in fine detail, the furnishings are handmade there are some pieces of antique tuscan furniture. There is a veranda where you can enjoy al fresco dining, overlooking the garden and the olive grove.
Around the house there are large green spaces, a barbecue and an outside shower useful after a day at the beach.

Location and surroundings of object

Paradise of olive groves, aromatic gardens, mediterranean bush. From the the huge west facing veranda the sunsets are the summer is fresh, thanking to the breeze which caress every day our place. The town of Alghero, only 1,5 km away, has got an historic centre where one can breath the old Catalan soul, admire the ancient , gothic Cathedral; be swept away by the energy of the town during the summery months and lose one's way in the handicraft shops such as the beautiful coral shops. Restaurants, pizzerias, cafés are everywhere, along the sea on the old Bastion, within the town in the old alleys and in the modern part of town.

Vacation for Relaxation

Even though we arrived a bit later, we were warmly welcomed and given a detailed tour of the house and the property. Additionally, we received many tips regarding shopping options, dining out, beaches, attractions, etc. The house with the view of the sea is really very nice. The furnishings are very good; we only missed a toaster. Otherwise, one can only feel comfortable in the house (with 2 separate levels). In particular, the beds were very comfortable. On the terrace/veranda, there are always sunny and shady spots. For beach visits, there are umbrellas and straw mats available. In short, we had great days at Villa Caprifogli.

Beautiful place to relax body and soul

We, two not-so-young married couples, spent two wonderful weeks in the holiday home. Erica speaks good German and took a lot of time to show us everything. Every day we enjoyed the view from the upper terrace. On this terrace, you can sit even when it’s raining without getting wet. The beds are comfortable and large enough even for a tall man. The kitchens are small but equipped with everything you need to cook delicious food from the market. The WiFi is a bit shaky, but it didn't bother us. We found it very pleasant to rent the entire house. Then you are completely undisturbed and only occasionally visited by friendly cats. We spent most of our time on the lovely upper terrace. Mosquito screens on doors and windows keep pests away. An absolutely recommendable house, not far from the sea, not far from the town.

A beautiful place to relax

We stayed in the flat on the first floor and enjoyed the wonderful view every day. The hostess Erica explained everything to us in detail in the absence of her parents and took more than an hour to do so. You rarely find that anymore. The surroundings offer everything you are looking for on holiday. Relaxation on the beach, excursions into the surrounding area, restaurants, a historic old town and shopping opportunities in the new town. The house has a lot of charm and lacks nothing. Even the strict waste separation, which is common in Sardinia, is easy, because there are two collection points nearby that you can always pass. We felt very comfortable and took many of Erica's tips to heart (visit the Neptune Grotto, eat at Maristella or elsewhere, go to Bosa ...)
But you can also just stay at home and enjoy the peace and quiet (if you want to).

Dreamlike view

We spent a wonderful holiday in Villa Caprifogli. The furnishings are in Tuscan style and include everything you need. The view from the terrace over the olive trees to the sea and the city of Alghero is fantastic
Erica and her family are very hospitable. On arrival we received many good tips for our stay and if we had any queries during our stay we could always contact her. Absolutely recommend this accommodation.

House in wonderful location and great sea view!

We spent a week in April in the house Caprifogli (1st floor) and felt very comfortable there. The location of the house is fantastic, almost alone, very quiet and in the middle of the very large and well-kept property, which is only a few kilometres away from Alghero. From the upper terrace you have a fantastic view of the sea and the town. The flats are very clean and have everything necessary for a successful stay. We enjoyed and often used the fireplace. The house with two flats (ground floor and first floor) is particularly suitable for large families or parties of friends. As a single couple, we were lucky that the lower flat was not rented during our stay. For this, our special thanks to Maria and her family, who looked after us very kindly and also gave us many good tips for walks, sights and restaurants. We would be very happy to recommend the house to others.

Wonderful vacation!

We were two in the middle of October for a week at Maria and Carlo's Villa Caprofogli. From here, we went on exploratory tours in the northeast, enjoyed beaches, and as paragliders, we were lucky to have a great flying area with a landing site right by the sea just 10 minutes away - perfect! Particularly noteworthy is also that you can really be in the beautiful city of Alghero in just a few minutes, with its restaurants and interesting historic old town. Thank you very much to Maria and Carlo for the warm welcome, the delicious nut cake, and the wine for the welcome. Thank you also for willingly practicing Italian with us. We will definitely come back gladly, ciao friends!

Wunderbare Erholung bei Alghero

We spent a week in early October with two children at Villa Caprifogli. Erica had sent us all the important information in advance, and upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Carlo and Maria. The stay was wonderful; the large property is located just outside Alghero and offers great discoveries for the children. The villa is well-equipped, and the view over the bay and the sunset every evening is simply fantastic. Erica gave us great tips for trips, and Carlo and Maria were always helpful and very accommodating (thanks again for the cake!). We can definitely recommend Villa Caprofogli!

Sardinien war ein Traum

We (6 adults) spent wonderful days at Erica and her family's place. A meticulously designed, tastefully furnished, and high-quality house with a view - day and night - of the old town of Alghero and the bay. Every evening a sunset you want to capture. Even if it's hot outside, there's always a breeze on the terrace. By car, you can reach many beaches with crystal-clear water everywhere. Each landscape more beautiful than the next. Nestled in the midst of an olive grove (thank you for the sample of the wonderful oil), you can hear lots of birds, a donkey, the occasional dog, sheep, but no car noise. Also very impressive is the sustainable, environmentally oriented way of thinking and living. With Erica's tips, we knew when and how to visit the market, where to shop, and where to go out. The Sardinian friendliness is convincing, without exception! We will come back, thanks to the host family.

We have found a little piece of paradise!

The descriptions as well as the photos absolutely correspond to reality. It was very clean. The size of the property guarantees enormous privacy and a feeling of freedom.
Erica is a very good host: she gives very detailed and helpful tips regarding excursions, shopping, and restaurants. She is not intrusive but always approachable. The tastefully furnished apartment, the typical property, the dreamlike view combined with the originality of the island led to absolute relaxation. A car is a must. Our 10-year-old Navigon found Podere Canunget without any problems. We highly recommend Villa Caprifogli and a stay with Erica.

A really lovely place to stay with excellent hosts in a beautiful setting.

We had a wonderful week in Villa Caprifogli in early April. We were a party of five adults so took up both floors of the Villa. The views across Alghero to the Cappo Caccia were beautiful. The Villa was a great base from which to explore this stunning coastline. Carlo and Maria were so hospitable and helpful and Erica gave some really helpful tips on where to go for days out and to enjoy local food etc. Some of us enjoyed an early morning jog down to the sea which was less than a mile away. The villa was everything we needed and more and all at a great price. We enjoyed eating-in some evenings – getting food from the markets, as well as eating out a few times. Altogether a really lovely place to stay with excellent hosts in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful holiday home with unique sea view!

We spent a wonderful week at Villa Caprifogli!

We were warmly welcomed and had a beautiful, well-maintained house with lots of attention to detail and well-equipped, surrounded by olive trees, wonderfully quiet location.

As a family of 7, we were able to settle in very well on two floors.

We enjoyed the evenings on the large terrace with a unique view of the sea and Alghero. We can highly recommend the house - for those who love peace and idyll while also appreciating the proximity to the city!

Dear Erica, thank you very much for the wonderful time - we would love to come back!

We felt very well taken care of by Erica, the super sympathetic daughter of Maria and Carlos. We got to know the landlords Maria and Carlos during the last 4 days. They are also very friendly and helpful and have created this gem over the years. The house is as described and shown in the photos, with a basic kitchen equipment. The highlights:
Beautiful well-maintained house on a very nice spacious plot, with olive trees, flowers, and herbs, where the owners also live and there are 2 other holiday homes. However, everyone has their privacy and wonderful peace.
In the evenings, we enjoyed the fantastic sunsets overlooking Alghero and the sea with delicious Sardinian wine and great Sardinian Pecorino. To explore the surroundings and reach the various beaches or inland areas, having a car is recommended. You can also rent two bicycles. A highly recommended excursion is with Erica as a hiking guide. She also gave us excellent tips for weekly markets, restaurants, bakeries, etc. We have grown very fond of her.
