Only about 500m separate my seaside cottage in a quiet location from the long sandy beach and the wildly romantic steep coast. The Meerchenhaus welcomes you as a cosy and high-quality holiday home in Danish style with a light-flooded living area, generous window fronts and a Danish wood-burning stove. You will also find a DVD player, stereo system, CD player and internet access.
The living room opens into the dining and kitchen area, which is equipped with the usual comforts for your convenience (kitchenette, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker).
In my Meerchenhaus, 2 cosy bedrooms await you: 1 bedroom with a double bed and one with 2 single beds.
For our little guests there is also a children's high chair and a cot available.
The bathroom is equipped with a WC, level access to the shower and a washing machine.
A garden with garden shed, as well as a furnished terrace (garden barbecue available) and two car parking spaces belong to the Meerchenhaus.

Only 500m from the sandy beach, the Meerchenhaus is located in a small private street. The property is fenced and overgrown all around. In this oasis of well-being, you can spend almost undisturbed time on the sunny and wind-protected terrace.
In an unspoilt holiday landscape characterised by wide beaches, picturesque cliffs and idyllic bays, the Baltic Sea sunbathing resort of Schönhagen, a district of Brodersby, is located directly on the Baltic Sea.
Schönhagen is located in the most beautiful part of the Schwansen peninsula, which is surrounded by water on three sides. The Eckernförde Bay in the south, the open sea in the east and the Schlei in the north and west form the setting. A paradise for individual holidaymakers and families with children
The entire region became very well known through the ZDF early evening series "The Country Doctor", which has been produced here for a long time.
Schönhagen's guests especially love the long beach (bathing beach, dog beach, nudist beach). In the south, the beach borders on the cliffs.
Along this impressive cliff you reach the nature reserve "Schwansener See" in the south, a supervised bird sanctuary. Here, between beach and dunes, reeds and sparse forests, is the habitat for a variety of birds, amphibians and plants. In order to protect the diverse life, a footpath and cycle path leads through at an appropriate distance.

A stroke of luck
We, daughter, dog, and I were able to spend three weeks of a dreamy summer vacation in the Meerchenhaus. The little house is, just like in the pictures, beautiful, and we lacked for nothing. It has a great setup with good furniture (very good sofas), cozy beds, a great small bathroom, and a nice, perfectly equipped kitchen. The garden is beautiful and the terrace is furnished with good furniture and high-quality cushions. In the shed, we had space for our bikes. Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly and briefed (many, many thanks to Mr. Meyer) and felt at home from the very first moment. We truly left for home with very, very heavy hearts after our lovely vacation.

A small gem!
We spent a week at the Fairytale House with 3 small dogs and felt very comfortable. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired. A blessing was also the outdoor shower in the last hot week of August. There is a small downside, the Wi-Fi is not really usable when streaming, for example. But this should be fixed by the 2020 season. Otherwise, highly recommended! We will definitely come back!
