Enjoy a wonderful holiday amidst palm trees from this holiday villa in Occitanie, Languedoc-Roussillon. Located on the outskirts of the village of Saint-Geniès-de-Fontedit, the house (200 m²) is equipped with plenty of privacy and a large enclosed garden (1575 m²), a covered terrace and a private pool that can be heated from mid-May to September for an extra charge of 200 euros per stay.

Saint-Geniès-de-Fontedit is a typical medieval village where elements of the past are still clearly visible. In the village you will find a bakery and a small supermarket where you can get fresh croissants in the morning. The charming village of Pézenas is about half an hour's drive away. The centre of Pézenas consists of old medieval streets with nice shops and restaurants. It is a photogenic town between Béziers and Montpellier with just over 8000 inhabitants. The city of Béziers is 17 km from Saint-Geniès-de-Fontedit and is home to plenty of nice shops.

From the covered terrace you have a beautiful view over the large garden with palm trees. The villa is equipped with Wi-Fi and a petanque court. Next to the private swimming pool with outdoor shower, you can soak up the sun on the sun loungers among the palm trees. Around the villa there is plenty of space for children and the terrace is equipped with luxury furniture. Moreover, there is a stone barbecue (charcoal) for a cosy summer evening.

Note: This holiday home is one of the Belvilla Award winners in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
The swimming pool is not accessible until mid-May.

We had a fantastic time in this villa! The private pool was the highlight for us, especially with the option to heat it. The garden is huge and perfect for the kids to run around. Also, the grill station made our evenings so enjoyable. Highly recommended!

House was in good order. All necessities were present (kitchen etc.). Very pleasant, large and covered terrace with dining and lounge area. Swimming pool is certainly an added value (next time let's heat it 😀). You can also set an alarm on the pool, a safe extra when you are on holiday with small kids. The bathrooms are spacious enough and clean. The bedrooms are large and have the necessary cupboards available. Only downside, the weather was fairly warm (+ 30 degrees). The house has no air conditioning. We would have liked to open the windows at night, but couldn't do this properly because there are no fly screens (and you bring the mosquitoes in that way). So a small investment in fly windows would certainly be pleasant 😀 (but that certainly didn't make or break our holiday). The house itself and its location (be sure to visit Béziers -25min- and Montpellier -60min-) made our holiday. Recommended!

Beautiful villa and equipped with most amenities. It was 35+ degrees all week and it gets quite warm inside. It's a shame that there is no air conditioning. The dishwasher was very dirty and did not clean properly. The pool is lovely, but the pool alarm did not work very well. First the batteries were empty (they were replaced halfway through the week), but then it still responded quite slowly (only if you have been in the pool for a while).

Saint Genies de Fontedit is a small picturesque village with a bakery within walking distance. There were also tennis courts nearby that you can use (but first contact the telephone number that is indicated there for the code for the chain locks). There are several nice beaches along the l"Orb where it is nice to stay at the hottest time of the day.

All in all we had a nice holiday here, too bad about the negative points mentioned above.

A spacious house in a good location to discover the Languedoc. Nicely situated between the mountains and the sea, and enough villages to visit. The house is very spacious, with a nice garden and a fantastic (heated) swimming pool. A few points for improvement, the decor can be a bit more cozy, wifi does not work well, few kitchen supplies and towels / kitchen linen. In addition, air conditioning upstairs would also be nice, as it can get quite hot there. In short, nice house with fantastic garden, with a few adjustments inside it would be completely perfect.
