Description
Our spacious holiday home offers you a combined living/dining room on the ground floor with a cosy fireplace for secluded evenings. The fireplace is especially popular in winter. The living room is modern and cosily furnished. For entertainment there is a flat screen TV, a PS 3 with games, a good collection of DVDs, a large selection of books for young and old, board games and a music system. Since April 2017, we have been offering WLAN to our guests.
The kitchen underlines the spaciousness of the room, it has the advantage that you can work in it and still stay in conversation with the family. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher, new electric cooker with ceramic hob/oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, blender, egg boiler, coffee machine and for that special treat: a Bosch Tassimo for delicious cappuccino, latte macchiato, cocoa and much more.
The large terrace with awning and a small, fenced garden can be reached from the living room. Here you can relax and end the day with a barbecue.
From the hallway you enter a bathroom with shower, opposite is a separate guest toilet. In the bathroom you will also find the washing machine. There is also a small storage room where you will find a hoover and cleaning supplies. Next to it, a staircase leads upstairs. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other two with beds apart (no bunk beds). In one of the bedrooms there is a second flat screen TV. Good mattresses provide the necessary sleeping comfort, the slatted frames are adjustable. For our very small guests, we have a baby travel cot with pillow and blanket and comfortable foam mattress and a high chair, there is also a nappy-changing facility. We have also thought about the safety of the little ones, there are stair gates available.
The first floor has an additional bathroom with shower/WC. Especially when there are several people, the day starts more relaxed in the morning with two separate bathrooms, you can shower at the same time and no one has to wait for the other!
This way, you are ready faster to enjoy a successful holiday day.
The rooms on the ground floor and first floor have roller blinds to darken the rooms.
A big special feature of our house is the concrete ceiling between the floors, in most houses the intermediate ceiling is made of wood. Because of the concrete false ceiling, it is not as brightly audible as with a wooden ceiling. In addition, the rooms are nice and bright, there is no wooden panelling. Many of our guests have already found this to be very positive!!!
We want you and your children to feel comfortable with us. We have children's toys, a number of books and some board games in the house to prevent boredom. For rainy days we have a small selection of DVDs for children and adults. If you are planning smaller excursions, there is a handcart. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that this will always be in working order, as despite all efforts, damage caused by the previous user cannot be repaired in time. The house also has a garage where you can store your bicycles and sports equipment.
The whole house is tiled to be allergy-friendly and we make sure that the mattress covers and pillows are cleaned regularly.
To ensure that people who are sensitive to health can also feel comfortable with us, we ask you not to smoke in the house and not to bring any pets. You are of course allowed to smoke on the terrace and in front of the house, and you will find ashtrays in the holiday home. We ask for your understanding.

Location and surroundings of object
Our cosy holiday home is located in a popular holiday home area in Hooksiel. It is very quietly situated in a side street, close to the dyke. There is no car noise here!!! A children's playground with swings, merry-go-round, climbing tower and slide is just around the corner, where your children can go on their own. There is a bakery in the immediate vicinity where you can get your breakfast rolls on foot. A supermarket and bicycle rental are also nearby. The beach, the indoor wave pool, various restaurants, spa facilities as well as the historic town centre and the harbour are also within easy reach. The Hooksmeer offers various water sports, regardless of the tide. If the weather is bad, you can visit the aquarium in Wilhelmshaven, where there is also the Bullermeck, an indoor amusement park. A visit to Spielstadt Wangerland in Hohenkirchen is also recommended. In Wilhelmshaven there is also the Marine Museum, 3D cinema and much more. Or you can visit the famous brewery town of Jever with its beautiful city centre. You can get anywhere quickly by car.

Well-equipped kitchen where you will find everything you need to cook a delicious meal. There is a new cooker with oven and ceramic hob, a dishwasher, blender, microwave, egg boiler, toaster, coffee maker and a fridge with integrated freezer compartment. We have also attached great importance to having good pots and pans and also extensive cooking utensils. In order not to run out of dishes after every meal, we have also made sufficient provisions here, there are enough glasses, plates, cups etc.. House to feel good
Actually, everything could be described in two words: "arrived - felt good" :)
Entering and the reception is then sweetened with a small token.
Everything is available that the family needs. Two bathrooms, three separate bedrooms.
For the bad weather days, there are many games, a game console, and many DVDs.
The location is good; in 10 minutes, on foot, the "city center" is reached. The Edeka is around the corner and the beach can be reached in 10 minutes by car or bike, and there is a private beach chair! Wi-Fi is reliable and was a great addition for the kids. The terrace invites you to eat or play. Barbecuing is also possible, as everything is available. As mentioned, just arrive and unwind.
Mrs. Grosse takes care of inquiries or arising problems lovingly and quickly, which are also resolved promptly. We found this to be very positive, as we have already had other experiences.
All in all, a successful vacation for us.

Beautiful house and nice landlady.
We have been going to the North Sea for 5 years and have finally found a suitable house and a very nice landlady here.
We are already here for the third time in the house.
Our experience is very, very positive, not only with the house but also with the landlady, Mrs. Grosse.
First about the house:
It is very nicely furnished.
This year we came with 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 14).
In the previous years, my father/father-in-law accompanied us. Since my father/father-in-law is physically disabled, it was very nice to have a large, ground-level shower. (This was a criterion for us, as well as regular stairs (no emergency stairs, which we have already experienced in other houses).
In the house, everything is available that you need with children.
Another criterion for us was that there is a garage that can be used. Since we are arriving with a trailer, it fits perfectly inside (Since private items are in the garage, no large car fits inside (which is not a problem for us))
Criticism or improvement is at a very high level:
It would be desirable to have a dryer in the lower bathroom, or to be able to manually adjust the heating (so that this room can be used as a "laundry room") to dry laundry when it cannot be dried outside due to bad weather. (We understand that there may be guests who overdo it with the heating, or forget about it, or are also trying to manage costs, and for that, the electric thermostats are installed. To summarize briefly and concisely, this house is nearly perfect for us.
Now regarding the landlord, Mrs. Grosse: In summary over the 3 years: She is very nice, and we receive quick responses. She has also given us tips regarding a problem and has been accommodating.) (Which is not taken for granted) or we have had different experiences elsewhere.

Vielen Dank für Ihre nette Bewertung. Auch Sie sind uns als sehr nette und angenehme Gäste in guter Erinnerung. Vielen Dank, dass Sie schon für 2025 vorgebucht haben ! Leider ist im unteren Bad keinen Platz für einen Trockner und da die Waschmaschine vor dem Fenster steht, kann man auch keinen oben drauf platzieren, da sonst kein Tageslicht da wäre. Wir stellen den Wäschetrockner schon mal ins Wohnzimmer oder die Garage, wenn es draußen regnet..
Man kann die Heizung manuell über die Thermostate regeln, wir haben diese hauptsächlich angebracht, um die Heizung aus der Ferne zu regeln, damit die Gäste und wir selber, in ein warmes Haus kommen.

Great family vacation
A house with everything your heart desires.
Everything you need for a "home" is available.
The house is clean and cozy, the location is quiet and central, everything is easily accessible by bike or on foot.
The terrace invites you to sit outside in the evening, we did it every night!
Reliable Wi-Fi, which our son was very happy about :-)
All in all, there was nothing to complain about! TOP!!!!

Cozy house.
A very beautiful and cozy house. It was clean, and the landlady was very nice. Everything went smoothly. It is not far to the sea and shopping. We felt very comfortable and the weather was perfect. All around good.
The house has a wonderfully quiet location and is excellently equipped. Even with 5 people, you don't have to wash all the dishes every day to make sure everyone is taken care of.
You can sit together comfortably in the garden or living room, but there is also enough space to retreat.
With Mrs. Grosse, you have a great landlady who lovingly takes care of all the guests' needs. We will gladly come again!

We knew this part of the North Sea through day trips We liked the tranquil place with its restaurants and cafes. The proximity to Horumbersiel and Schillig and the towns of Jever and Wilhelmshaven is also ideal. At some point we fulfilled our dream and bought a holiday home here.
