Our spacious holiday home in the picturesque Western Ore Mountains offers you the rare combination of absolute tranquility, untouched nature right on your doorstep, and maximum comfort for groups of up to 16 people. The special feature of our concept: You spend valuable time together, but thanks to the division into separate living units, you can enjoy your private comfort zone at any time.

The heart of the house is our spacious communal room. Here stands the “Long Table,” where all 16 people can easily sit together – ideal for leisurely breakfasts, emotional conversations, game nights, or the big festive meal. • Wellness bookable: After an active day, relax in the in-house sauna.

Forget cramped dormitories. Our house is divided into 5 lovingly furnished apartments. With a total of 8 sleeping areas and 6 bathrooms, there will definitely be no morning rush when getting ready. (Note: The apartments can also be rented individually, with or without a common room, subject to availability – ideal for smaller getaways!)
– Pure nature: Hiking, cycling & cross-country skiing
The surroundings are a paradise for outdoor fans and those seeking peace and quiet. Lots of forest, mystical moors, and idyllic reservoirs shape the landscape.
• In summer: Set out directly from the house into an extensive network of hiking trails and cycling routes. • In winter: Strap on your skis – the entrance to the ridge trail for cross-country skiing is right outside the door.
• The feeling: No rush, no street noise, no searching for a parking space. Just nature and you.
⚠️ Important information for your stay
We want all our guests to feel completely comfortable. Please therefore observe our house rules:
• Not a party location: Our house is a retreat for families and friends seeking peace and togetherness. For bachelor parties, club tours, or loud parties, the property is not suitable.
• Non-smoking domicile: Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house.
• Allergy-friendly: Since we do not allow pets, the house is also ideally suited for allergy sufferers.

Experience nature and relaxation in the beautiful western Ore Mountains. For walking, hiking, cycling, skiing, forest bathing, or collecting mushrooms and bilberries, you can practically “step right out the front door” here. Leave your car behind and practice instant relaxation. In addition to the immediate surroundings, there are of course numerous other ways to spend the day enjoyably and meaningfully. Very close by is also the highest-altitude reservoir (swimming is not allowed here – drinking water reservoir). Outdoor swimming is possible in a small natural lake fed by moor water (only 500 m away). A larger natural bathing lake is located near Přebuz (Frühbuß) on the Czech side, reachable by a beautiful bike tour (9 km). There is an open-air swimming pool very close by in Johanngeorgenstadt: Naturbad Schwefelbach (12 km).
Cycling:
For cyclists, a secondary route (also a feeder > 3.5 km) of the “Karlsroute”, between Aue and Karlovy Vary, runs directly by our house.
A large network of trails in all directions surrounds the house. Bike rental, including e-bikes, with delivery service by advance order is available in Johanngeorgenstadt at Sport Bachmann. Winter sports:
Our house is ideal for cross-country skiing fans due to its prime location right at the entrance to the Kammloipe. Without the hassle of searching for a parking space, strap on your skis right outside the front door and off you go. Rent one or more apartments or the whole house with a large common room for your family or a group of friends (12 to 16 people). Cook together in the evening and enjoy a cozy time together. Breakfast:
In winter, when renting individual apartments, breakfast is available on request (€15 per person per night, children up to 12 years €9). Breakfast is served in the common room.
Cross-country skiing:
Start directly from our house onto the Kammloipe – one of the most beautiful and snow-sure cross-country trails in the low mountain ranges. Many adjoining local trails as well as connections to the Czech side of the mountains (Ski Magistrale) extend the cross-country skiing possibilities in a scenically attractive environment to over 200 km in length. Wooded sections alternate with wide high plateaus. The Kammloipe Erzgebirge-Vogtland from Schöneck in Vogtland via Mühlleithen and Weitersglashütte to Johanngeorgenstadt in the Erzgebirge, with a length of 36 km, is one of the most beautiful and snow-sure trails in Germany. The Kammloipe, due to its special location and altitude (900 to 1000m), usually offers good conditions even in winters with less snow, often until March. The sections near the ridge have little elevation difference and are therefore also well suited for the inexperienced. Affordable ski rentals are available in Carlsfeld, Eibenstock, and Johanngeorgenstadt.
Alpine skiing:
Carlsfeld is a traditional winter sports resort. About 4 km from our house, a 400m double tow lift at the illuminated north slope (with snowmaking system) as well as a toboggan run are available to you. More information: Ski-Club Carlsfeld e. V. There is another small, well-developed ski slope on the Czech side in Potůčky (Breitenbach), just after the Johanngeorgenstadt border crossing (approx. 14 km away). Larger ski areas can be found in Abertamy/Plešivec/CZ (Pleßberg), about 30 minutes by car from the house, or at Klínovec/CZ (Keilberg, at 1243m the highest peak of the Ore Mountains) as well as on the Fichtelberg. Sauna:
On our property there is a small sauna hut with a wood stove for 4–6 people (only by prior arrangement; €60 per day, incl. towels and bathrobes).
Alternatively, for sauna lovers with more than 6 people, we recommend the sauna at Kunsthaus Eibenstock (approx. 12 km away) (only by prior arrangement) or the Badegärten Eibenstock, a diverse sauna and wellness complex. Excursions:
Variety and fun with children can also be found nearby in Eibenstock at "Wurzelrudi's Adventure World."
Year-round Christmas magic is offered by the "Christmas Land Erzgebirge" in Stützengrün.
To get to know the history and culture of the Erzgebirge, we recommend the "Treasure House" in Eibenstock, a visit to the Frisch Glück "Glöckl" teaching and show mine in Johanngeorgenstadt.
Also worth seeing is the German Space Exhibition in Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz. You can purchase souvenirs and regional products at the community shop “Regine”, also in Eibenstock.
You will find bric-a-brac and antiques in Johanngeorgenstadt and Horní Blatná (Platten).
The traditional felt slippers can be purchased at the factory outlet in Eibenstock.
