Unique lodging, excellent stay We weren't here in high summer season, I can imagine that if all the lodges were occupied the vibe might be slightly different - this still wouldn't put me off though. This was an unusual and unique stay, and we really enjoyed it. Travelling with 3 teens we used the sofa bed for 3 sleeping areas, added together with the rooftop terrace meant that we had a great amount of space for a short stay. The location is good, you are closer to Portoroz itself than it appears, with groceries and places to eat nearby, and easy access to the bus stop for Piran. The views are incredible, and a short walk to sunset over the water. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen adequately supplied for a short stay with both fridge and freezer space, and the AC was great keeping us very comfortable during a heatwave. The hot tub was an added bonus, as was secure, free parking. I would definitely return here.

A marina experience Staying in a house boat in the marina is an experience in itself. The communication with the hosts was smooth and efficient. The house was clean. It had everything we would have needed except soap in the bathroom and sponges in the kitchen in case one wanted to rinse a cup or a plate. Having a jacuzzi on the boat house was a nice perk. The houses though sit in very close proximity in the harbour and there are no opportunities for privacy screens (should one wish any) when using the jacuzzi. Also, since this is a location close to water, having some place to dry clothes on or hang them to dry would have been highly appreciated. Other perks included the free parking in the marina and the free access to the marina pool with salt water. In a place where parking can be problematic and the entry into the sea challenging, these were to very welcome additions.
