A few steps along a quiet riverside path lead to the front door of this ground-floor apartment, just over a mile from the sandy beaches and surf of Bude. It's built for families or groups of up to four who want the coast close by without the crowds outside the window.
Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area bring everyone together around a comfortable sofa, two armchairs and a Smart TV. Step out from the master bedroom into a private, enclosed courtyard, fitted with outdoor seating and a barbecue for evenings that don't need to move indoors. An outdoor tap makes light work of rinsing off sandy feet, or paws, with up to two well-behaved dogs welcome to join the stay. Bude itself brings three golden sandy beaches, a good spread of places to eat, and independent shops worth a browse. With the A39 close by, it's an easy base for exploring further, with villages like Clovelly, Boscastle, Port Isaac and Tintagel all within about 26 miles. Mornings on the sand, evenings by the water, simple and unhurried.
