Bungalow in seaside town of Pwllheli
Wales

Are you still looking for the right holidaymakers for your holiday home or apartment?
With a cozy accommodation, a holiday home, or an apartment from private owners in Wales, you can explore the attractions, dreamy sandy beaches, evergreen hills, or numerous medieval fortresses like Harlech, Caernarfon, or Caerphilly in the region. The remnants of the Romans can still be seen today, e.g., the amphitheater in Caerleon, which accommodated 6,000 visitors. Opposite, you can still admire the foundations of former legionary barracks. On the Lyn Peninsula, you can visit remains from the Iron Age (e.g., Tre'r Ceyri). East of Fishguard, you encounter legendary Neolithic burial sites. The largest Welsh place of worship is the cathedral in St. Davids, making it the smallest cathedral city in Great Britain. The sacred building is worth a visit not only because of its leaning columns. Opposite, you will find the impressive ruins of a bishop's palace. A visit to the capital Cardiff with its fascinating castle in the city center is always recommended. From the keep, you have an excellent panoramic view of the city and the surroundings. In the heart of the capital is also the Millennium Stadium, opened in 1999, where major sports highlights and cultural events take place. Also worth seeing is Holy Island with the South Stack Lighthouse in the west, which you are allowed to climb. A very special village is Hay-on-Wye on the border with England. The place is known as a book village. With only about 1,850 residents, Hay-on-Wye has 40 bookstores or antiquarian bookshops. Rent a cozy accommodation, a holiday home, for example in Conwy or in North Wales, or an apartment with a garden and soothing views for you and your family, and enjoy unforgettable holidays in an idyllic landscape by the sea and near the breathtaking mountains.
Wales is an El Dorado for nature lovers. But beach enthusiasts will also get their money's worth. For a beach holiday in Wales with a vacation rental, holiday home, or apartment from private owners, you can use the dreamy sandy beaches like Whitesands Bay in the Pembrokeshire National Park or on The Gower Peninsula. 370 kilometers of rugged coasts and cliffs fascinate visitors with their unique allure. The Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia National Parks also captivate family vacationers in various ways. Use the well-developed routes for hiking or biking, try rafting and canoe tours, venture into cave walks, or visit high ropes courses. Wales is natural and action-packed. Snowdonia (Welsh Eryri; German "Eagle's Nest") is a region in northern Wales and is protected as a national park. It is ideal for hiking and walking! The same goes for Snowdon or the Brecon Beacons (Welsh: Bannau Brycheiniog), a mountain range in southeastern Wales.
Come to Wales and discover the culinary specialties of this unique region. In the morning, a typical British breakfast is often enjoyed, e.g., with cornflakes, ham, bacon, a sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, and scrambled or fried eggs. Often, there are toasts with bitter marmalade. Dinner is not only available in classic restaurants but also in typical British pubs. Look for the term barmeals, which indicates that you can also get hot food at the bar. As in neighboring England, Fish & Chips are very popular in Wales. A typical Welsh dish is lamb with mint sauce, which you will find on many menus. Other classics include Welsh rarebit (cheese, mustard, onions, ale, herbs on toasted bread), Laverbread (seaweed puree), or Bara brith (bread enriched with dried fruits). Although some wine is produced in Wales, the Welsh primarily swear by their beer. Well-known and popular brands from the kingdom and Ireland include Guinness and Carling.
With a vacation rental, a holiday home, or an apartment from private owners in Wales, you are visiting a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain that borders England. You can reach the island by ferry, and from there, you can drive to South Wales (London - Swansea, M 4) or North Wales (Liverpool - Holyhead, A 55) via expressways. Most tourists arrive by plane through the capital Cardiff or Manchester, Birmingham, or Liverpool in England. You can also travel to your accommodation in Wales by bus or train. Book now a cozy accommodation, a holiday home, or an apartment with a garden and a beautiful view in an idyllic landscape between mountains and sea for an unforgettable vacation with your family. A holiday full of diversity and attractions in this breathtaking region awaits you!
If you visit Wales, you should definitely visit the places Barmouth near Harlech, Caernarfon and Pembrokeshire. Here you can hike in the midst of untouched nature, enjoy the cuisine of the region, and spend relaxing days in idyllic places.
