This character dwelling possessing charm and comfort is situated in the heart of a 20 ha property surrounded by oaks and chestnuts, 1.5 km from the centre of Collobrières and about twenty kilometres from the fine sandy beaches.

With a superb view of the vineyards and the Gapeau valley as well as a swimming pool of more than 50m, it is ideal for holidaymakers dreaming of a quiet holiday in the atmosphere of the Provence countryside. In Collobrières and the surrounding area, you will be able to explore an important architectural heritage: the ruins of St Pons Church, Pont Vieux, Notre Dame des Anges chapel, Rouget de L'Isle square... Many outings are possible in the region, and tours of the chestnut grove can be organized to the great delight of nature lovers.

The way to the house was not signposted and extremely difficult to find. Actually, the driveway is only to cope with a SUV. Normal cars have (at the journey perhaps still fully loaded) problems to create the driveway without putting on. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned in the house description with a word. The house itself is beautifully situated, quiet and with a wonderful view but the uncleanliness and the need for renovation unfortunately spoil these positive things. An unkempt garden, benches which we first had to screw down, loose towel rails, missing doorknobs, rotten food in the fridge and a dried pants in the washing machine, we found u.a. in front. In the kitchen were spices that had expired in 1992. In one of the bedrooms there were bed bugs. There were still many things to complain about but still something positive. The place Collobrieres is very pretty and easy to reach on foot. Numerous good restaurants can be found there as well as grocery stores, post office, souvenir shops etc. We made the best of the situation and did not spoil the holiday. After a cleaning operation, gardening and repairs, it is still a very nice holiday.
