I booked online via Vrbo. The pictures posted were romantically exaggerated, and strangely required payment in euros, which should have been a red flag. They got me this time, but not again, I'm writing this to prevent anyone else from making this mistake. For reference, I am not picky and I have stayed and slept in more than a few questionable lodgings, but not for what I paid here. I tried to compile a list of red flags that I ignored at the time. The key card worked only 1/10th of the times I tried. The room smelled like mold, trash, piss and pest control spray. The floor was disgusting, the sheets were stained and had someone else's hair on them. The mini fridge had rust stains on the front where the seals seeped out moisture, and it did not cool properly, my perishables perished. The smoke alarm was missing and duct tape covered the hole. The bathroom sink sprayed everywhere and the towel rack was rusted through in some places. The wires to the cable box were incorrectly routed through the front of the shelf so the remote only worked from one spot in the room which was on the floor by the front door, and none turned it on or off, I had to unplug it when I went to sleep. The front door had gaps in it so wide it defeated the purpose of the door being there at all. The split level AC hoses were zip tied to the wall and the vents had not been cleaned ever. Between the door problems and the AC position, there were two climate zones: arctic cold in front of the unit and moist and sticky anywhere else because the air freely flowed in and out of the door gaps. No comfortable place to sit. Electrical outlets popped when used, so I tried not to use them. What, might you ask, would I expect from a 70 year old motor lodge? I would expect it to be demolished and turned into overflow parking lot for the beach across the street, that's the only thing it's good for now. The folks on site were as nice and helpful as can be, and the location is great. But don't book here.

We didn't go to a spa, but the outdoor area felt like our own little retreat. Such a perfect place to chill with friends!
