Here, the roof can be opened with a crank to catch the sun, and with the side blinds there is the possibility to protect yourself against light rain and wind. This invites you to linger, even in less pleasant weather.
Additional terraces on various levels with lounging areas or seating are also available. There is also a small seating set in front of the house where you can watch local life over a cup of coffee. Partially very low door frames and interconnected rooms that cannot be entered individually can be forgiven in this house. They belong to the historical charm, recall the era, and make the "chalet" special.
Our holiday home offers ample space with 180 sqm of living area for up to 8 people. It features a total of 3 large sleeping areas with box spring beds for comfortable sleep. Additionally, there is a spacious sofa bed in the living room on the ground floor. The special feature: one of the three sleeping areas is cleverly integrated into the cozy upper living room. Please note that this room serves as a central passageway to the two additional, separate bedrooms. It is therefore particularly suitable for families or close friends.
The amenities include three bathrooms, one of which is very spacious and also features a freestanding bathtub as well as underfloor heating. The other two, despite their compact size, are equipped with a shower, toilet, and washbasin.
There are 2 living areas. They are distributed between the ground floor and the upper floor.
The upper living room is intended as a living and sleeping area. Here, in addition to the comfortable box spring bed, there is also a recliner chair, a genuine leather couch combination, and a satellite TV with soundbar.
The illuminated open stone wall on the left and the real wood wall on the right create a pleasant atmosphere here. In the lower living room you will also find an illuminated stone wall, combined with thick wooden beams and a cozy large microfiber couch, which can be converted into a bed if needed.
Here too, you have the option to use a SAT TV with soundbar.
For the cold season, there is also a pellet stove here.
In the adjoining room there is a large storage cupboard as well as an infrared sauna for up to 4 people.
The spacious kitchen is also located on the ground floor. Here you will find ample space within a vaulted ceiling and also a good basic equipment.
Large microwave, oven at working height, dishwasher, induction hobs, large fridge-freezer combination, sufficient cutlery, plates, pans, pots, toaster, coffee machine, tray and much more.
But for us, the heart of the "Chalet am Klosterring" is the cozy dining room. Here you will also find an interesting vaulted ceiling, a solid wood table for 6 people, a comfortable velvet armchair, ambient lighting, a small upholstered corner niche by the window, as well as another seating option for 2 people.
For the cold season, there is also a pellet stove here.
The kitchen, the dining room, and the large bathroom are equipped with underfloor heating. Conclusion:
The "Chalet am Klosterring" is for us a special holiday residence that combines historical charm and modern comfort.
The thick and partly exposed walls, massive wooden beams, real wood floors, solid wood doors, and vaulted ceilings give the generously designed rooms a special flair.

Ein Traumurlaub im wunderschönen Bayern! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wir hatten 11 wunderschöne Tage in Bayern. Das Chalet – das eine besondere Geschichte als ehemaliger Teil eines Klosters hat – hat uns sehr gut gefallen: Es war sehr sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und wirklich mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Ein zusätzliches Plus: Die Betten sind wirklich hervorragend, sodass wir wunderbar geschlafen haben! Morgens konnten wir in der schönen Gartenanlage an der frischen Luft in den Tag starten und abends nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag entspannen.
In der Umgebung gibt es wirklich jede Menge zu unternehmen:
Aktiv & Spaß: Sommerrodeln, ein Tagesausflug in den Freizeitpark und ein Spaziergang auf dem Waldwipfelweg.
Wandern: Die BO64-Route (2026 zur schönsten Wanderroute Deutschlands gewählt!) ist absolut empfehlenswert. Ein besonderes Highlight sind die beiden wunderschönen Wasserfälle, an denen man unterwegs vorbeikommt.
Ausflüge & Kultur: Ein Besuch im Glasdorf, im historischen Silberbergwerk in Bodenmais sowie ein Tagesausflug nach Regensburg mit seinen Museen und dem beeindruckenden Dom. Auch ein Ausflug nach Tschechien lässt sich von hier aus problemlos unternehmen.
Und selbst in 11 Tagen gibt es in der Umgebung noch so viel mehr zu entdecken, wozu wir gar nicht gekommen sind!
Kurz gesagt: ein wunderschönes, historisches und komfortables Ferienhaus in einer abwechslungsreichen Umgebung. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
