The place of gite Entre Gaume et Ardenne is actually Saint Cecile which - like other villages in the region - belongs to Florenville ten km away where you will find all shops and supermarkets. In Saint Cecile there is only a butcher / caterer and there is a nice church. The gite is very spacious, clean and quiet. The living area and the four bedrooms have air conditioning and the beds are fine. Behind the terrace with whirlpool runs a stream that forms the border between the Ardennes and Gaume. We were kindly received by Chantal with fruit juice and cake and had a great week with trips to the zoo and the castle of Bouillon, the fortress of Sedan (just over the French border), the Caves of Han and the Wild Life park with the Archaeological Museum of Han. Florenville is quite a nice place where you can climb the tower of the monumental church for a fantastic view. Unfortunately, we didn't get to Orval with the abbey and the brewery and so there are more sights. We also had a delicious meal in the middle of nowhere at cafe-retaurant Le Chameleux next to the ruins of a Roman stopping place. And of course you can enjoy walking in the area and, if desired, cycling on the two bicycles that you can use. It is also nice that you can park for free almost everywhere in the region and refuel a lot cheaper. In short: Entre Gaume & Ardenne is a comfortable base for a relaxed holiday with many recreational opportunities. Recommended!

The cottage was just fine, plenty of space and good beds. Through the app Route You, you can do a lot of walks. The owner was very attentive, had made cake upon arrival, and was always reachable via WhatsApp. Only French-speaking, but you can solve a lot with Google. A big advantage, no exorbitant charges for electricity and water, this is all included in the rental price. The only downside, I was not reachable by phone inside with Telenet. Definitely worth repeating.

Very pleasant reception with cake and apple juice. This way we were able to make good use of our week away. The beds are all nicely covered. Kitchen towels are provided. What was not mentioned on the website is that the bath towels and washcloths are also provided. The website states that there is a bunk bed on the ground floor. However, this room has a very nice double bed with connecting bathroom and passage to the terrace. That was a pleasant surprise. The 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs are also clean and well-maintained. The kitchen has all the amenities needed. Although we were provided, there are board games and colors for the children. The area is very nice and pleasant to go hiking. We had a very nice week away.

Very good reception. The owner was even kind enough to call us a day in advance with the notification that we could check in earlier. Spacious house with very good beds (box spring) and more than enough kitchen equipment. Very cozy terrace with the jacuzzi as an extra.

We had to wait a while, because new pictures and a film were made for Belvilla, but the welcome was very warm. And the house was great. And Chantal makes sure that nothing is missing; soda, chips and refreshments are ready. And despite the bad weather, the sound of the stream running under the window of the bedroom is magical - a great home for a family vacation, or like us to celebrate Christmas and our 45-year anniversary.

A friendly welcome from the owner. The accommodation was fully prepared; beds made, towels available, something to drink and snacks, even the jacuzzi was already up to temperature. Moreover, everything was spic and span clean.

Nice big house with all conveniences with many rooms and wonderfully large beds. Nice garden where spring water flows through. After having made beautiful walks and bike rides in the beautiful surroundings, I enjoyed the jacuzi. Had a very nice holiday and would definitely recommend it.

Friendly and helpful housekeeper. Well-furnished accommodation. Kitchen well equipped. Comfortable beds. Fitness equipment available. Great jacuzzi on the terrace by a river. Beautiful walks done in the area; Florenville, Chassepierre, and the Abbey of Orval are definitely worth a visit.

Very friendly welcome, very helpful. Immaculate building! Lots of space, practical kitchen with numerous appliances (toaster, mixer, coffee maker and Senseo, ...). Large and comfortable box springs. Preheated Jacuzzi. Nice and sunny terrace at the back. Parking in front, walking distance and some good restaurants, in a quiet location. Recommended.

The accommodation is really beautiful. Immediately upon entering a nice sitting room with comfortable sofas and chairs and a view of the beautiful self-painted paintings of the owner's residence. Everything was explained about where we could find something (in French, but with gestures, pointers and the smartphone you get everywhere, and Chantal is very patient!) Also, goodies were immediately ready. The beautiful complex also has a beautiful large kitchen. It has everything one could wish for, including even a dishwasher, mixers and kitchen utensils in all shapes and sizes. Also with cupboards full of plates and glasses. We have cooked wonderfully here several times, but the ceramic hob was getting used to for us. Almost every room has its own bathroom. The 3 bathrooms looked spic and span with wonderful showers and nice towels. 3 bedrooms have what it looks like a brand new box spring that sleeps very comfortably, 1 room has a somewhat older bed but this one also sleeps well. The back garden even has a jacuzzi as described. Lovely to relax for a while but it takes a while to warm up, but this is really a luxury problem. The area is very quiet, and we have not disturbed ourselves to anyone. It is a few minutes drive to the nearest supermarket. But with so much space you can take a lot. We should also not forget the neighbor who often told us about events in the neighborhood. The communication in French was sometimes a bit difficult for us but we understood each other through cards, flyers, and of course the smartphone. Say hello to him! Ruben

Very friendly welcome! The owner was punctual at the agreed time to hand over the key. Very neat and well-equipped spacious residence. Wonderful beds, larger than standard beds, ideal for tall people. Coffee pads, ground coffee, dishwasher blocks, charcoal, all linen ... were all provided. Jacuzzi was very nice for the kids. Terrace is very cozy, and well-equipped, though you have a look at the houses that adjoin with the garden.
