Highlights are the direct access to the beach (approx. 750m walk/cycle), extensive flower fields in spring, and viewpoints in the adjacent dunes. Popular excursions such as Fort Kijkduin and the Naval Museum are about 5-10 km by bike.

• Walking routes: There are walking routes through the adjacent Grafelijkheidsduinen and the nearby bulb fields. • Cycling: Bon Diaz at Sea, located on the Zanddijk, is part of cycling paths leading to Den Helder (northwards, approx. 5-7 km) or Callantsoog (southwards, approx. 7.5 km).
