Villa Gelos is located on a spacious plot of 2,508 m².

The villa itself extends over 210 m² of living space on three floors and offers accommodation for up to 8 people in four bedrooms. The upper terrace with pool covers 76 m², the lower terrace 40 m². The pool has an area of approx. 28 m².

Villa Gelos was built in 2021. Join us now for a short tour of the villa. Directly to the left of the entrance area are the kitchen and dining area, on the right side a guest WC. Straight ahead, the living area opens up. Next to the guest WC, a staircase leads to the upper floor.

The first door on the right leads to the master bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom and a beautiful sea view. Next to it is another bedroom with an equally magnificent view of the sea. This bedroom shares a bathroom with the smallest bedroom (the third one). At the end of the hallway on the left side is the fourth bedroom, also with its own bathroom. All bedrooms are equipped with double beds, all bathrooms have showers.

The upper terrace, accessible from the dining area through a glass front, houses the approx. 28 m² pool. To the right of the pool are sun loungers with a sunshade as well as a spacious outdoor sofa. If you go down the stairs, you reach an additional lounge – perfect for relaxing hours when you are not sleeping, lying by the pool, at the beach, or out on the boat. On the right is the pool’s technical room, straight ahead is a small utility area with a washing machine and dryer.

On the lower terrace, a table and chairs for up to 10 people are available. In the garden, there are additional garden chairs and sun loungers – simply for enjoying. On this terrace there is also a solar shower as well as a fireplace/grill, ideal for freshly grilled fish. We are happy to share our source with you – just ask us.

Villa Gelos is a beautiful villa in an equally beautiful location. Everything about this villa is clear, streamlined, and minimalist in design. The dominant colors are black and white, complemented by accents in green and blue. The view of the sea is a very special blue – priceless. The location of Villa Gelos helps you leave everyday life behind and focus on the good things. And once you have immersed yourself in the crystal-clear sea at one of the dreamlike beaches around Gelos – as some of Hvar’s most beautiful beaches are very close by – there is no going back to what you knew before.

Location and surroundings of object

Zavala
The exciting tunnel is closest to Zavala – one of the island’s most sought-after destinations. It is a small fishing village by the sea.

It was first settled to meet the needs of the residents of the village of Pitve. Later, however, it became independent and developed into a tourist destination with diverse offerings and attractions. Zavala has 144 inhabitants year-round and is named after Cape Zaca (derived from the Croatian word for small bay). It has borne the same name since the 15th century.

Immediately in front of Zavala, about 2.5 km from the coast, lies the beautiful island of Šćedro, which is inhabited by only one (very hospitable) family. You can take a boat to Šćedro and back every day. Therefore, we recommend that you pay a visit to this hidden gem of unspoiled nature.

In Zavala stands the holiday house of the Duboković Nadalini family from the year 1830. The house was built in the Biedermeier style and today contains the ruins of several buildings and the chapel of St. Juraj, which was built in 1866 by Bishop Juraj G. Duboković. Bishop Duboković was one of the founders and the first president of the so-called "Hygienic Society." From this, modern tourism in Hvar developed. The heart of Bishop Duboković was buried in the chapel.

In Zavala there are many pebble beaches. They are located along the coast, one next to the other. One of our favorites is without a doubt Gromin Dolac. It is isolated and beautiful, as if it were not of this world. You simply take the gravel road from Zavala heading east and reach the beach.

Within the village there are some good restaurants where you can taste local specialties with a focus on fresh fish, fine local wines, and olive oil.

If you are a fan of brandy, try Travarica. You must not miss the honey made from the island’s characteristic, aromatic, medicinal herbs such as rosemary, lavender, or sage.

Along the south side of the island there are numerous opportunities to enjoy your leisure time actively: from free climbing to cycling, hiking, walking, diving, surfing. . . Or cast a fishing hook into the sea, catch your dinner, and return to your roots: to the time when things were not so accessible and the world was still in order!
