Welcome to the "Blue House" in Kaltennordheim, district Klings – your perfect holiday home for up to eight guests! On a spacious 140 m², three bedrooms and two bathrooms await you, offering plenty of space for shared moments and privacy. After a day full of experiences, you can relax by the fireplace or linger on the sunny terrace in the lovingly landscaped garden, surrounded by blooming flowers and inviting seating areas. The fully equipped kitchenette with dishwasher, kettle, and coffee machine makes cooking a pleasure, while you can enjoy meals together at the large dining table. For your comfort, bed linen, washing machine, iron, and hairdryer are available. In the living room, a television provides entertainment on cozy evenings.
The house is also ideal for longer stays – allowing you to fully enjoy life in the picturesque Rhön. Please note that the house is reserved exclusively for non-smokers. Hiking & Nature
Hike up the Ellenbogen – the highest mountain in the Thuringian Rhön with magnificent views. There you will also find the spectacular Noah's Sail viewing platform – a viewing platform with an adventure slide and panorama.
The Hochrhöner and extra tours run through the most beautiful landscapes of the region. Particularly popular are premium trails such as the extra tour "Vorderrhönweg" – premium hiking trail.
Explore the Black Moor – one of the most famous raised bogs in Germany with wooden walkways and observation tower: Black Moor. Ideal for relaxing walks and photo tours. Experience the “Lange Rhön”: Lange Rhön offers typical open Rhön landscapes with vast panoramic views.
Nature spots such as the Eisgraben waterfall or the Gangolfsberg are great destinations for shorter tours.
History & special places
Experience the former inner-German border around Geisa and the Point Alpha Trail – excitingly combined with hikes.
Visit small Rhön villages like Dermbach, Kaltennordheim, or Empfertshausen – including half-timbered houses, old churches, and typically Rhön landscapes. Family outings
