The area often hosts weekend pet markets and open-air events where leashed pups are welcome. With two stables on-site, horse lovers (and curious dogs) can even enjoy a walk along quiet paddock paths.

After a day of adventuring, savor local delights in nearby Monflanquin or Fumel. "Le Domaine de Gavaudun" (France) is a splendid domain with 35 ha of undulating fields and woods. A calm green oasis perfectly situated in the south of historic Perigord, the region of a thousand Châteaux, near Quercy, Gascony and Guyenne. Its old charming renovated buildings and its modern accommodations in the middle of nature, together with the many activities available, will make for a memorable stay.
Other places to discover in the surroundings are: the valleys of the Dordogne and the Lot, the splendid Biron's and Bonaguil's castles, Bernard Palissy's house and many other exceptional sites that are only waiting for your visit.

The welcome was very friendly with a detailed explanation including information folder. The cottage itself seemed unused for a while (not very clean and musty smell) but the location was beautiful.

We have vacationed in this area as enjoyable, with a particular environment and the peaceful character enormous benefits for potentially interested (especially the fact that children are undisturbed around, that no noisy roads nearby and that the houses are not too close together, voted us happy). Nevertheless, we emphasize that the comfort of the homes is very rudimentary and that it was not huge clean (typically French), and that the house feels suitable for 4 people, but this is not advisable. The sofa bed can be used by a maximum of 1 or 2 children, certainly not adults. In general, the infrastructure (except the pool) obsolete, though it is the intention of the owners to that in the following years systematically further modernize.
