The cottage is located in western Iceland at the level of the town of Akranes.
This is just under 20 minutes away and you can do your shopping there.
Reykjavík is only about 45 minutes away.
The holiday home offers about 55 m² of space for up to 5 guests and has 2 bedrooms as well as a bathroom. Enjoy the peaceful location with a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape, the lake Eiðisvatn below, and the Hvalfjörður, while you relax on the spacious terrace.
A private parking space is available for you.
The fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired: here you will find an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a kettle, and a coffee machine – ideal for shared meals after a day in the fresh air. The cozy living room invites you to linger with large windows and plenty of daylight.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
The holiday home is also ideal for longer stays.

The cottage is located behind the small village of Melahverfi.
The main road, also called the Ring Road, is just under 1.5 km away.
Shopping facilities are available in Akranes and Borgarnes – both towns are about 20 minutes away.
In western Iceland, you can reach many of the well-known sights in the west, south, and north from our cottage within a simple driving time of 1–3 hours. Northern lights can be observed and photographed very well from our driveway—under suitable conditions.

Welcome to our cottage. We – Kathrin and Klaus – are a German couple who emigrated to Iceland a few years ago and are living our dream here. We live about 50 m from the cottage and are always available for our guests. Feel at home and enjoy your Iceland vacation.
