Are you looking for an exclusive holiday home for your next vacation at the Müritz? That’s how we always felt, too. That’s why we built one! We have been spending our holidays at the Müritz (Slavic: little sea) for many years and are absolutely thrilled by the sailing area and the surroundings.
The house offers 86 sqm of living space, providing plenty of room for a relaxing holiday with up to four people (+ travel cot for baby). It was built similarly to the Scandinavian houses with "roof equals ceiling" as a KfW70 house.
The open living and dining area conveys a spacious yet cozy atmosphere. Two bedrooms, a bathroom with a small sauna, two terraces, and the garden also belong to the house. The house is heated by underfloor heating and can be lived in all year round. Room thermostats allow you to regulate the temperature according to your wishes. A ventilation system ensures the right indoor climate. For coziness, we have also installed a wood-burning stove. The property is 430 m² in size and offers ample space for spending time outdoors. You can conveniently charge your electric vehicle at our wallbox at the house.
Enjoy a nature holiday
The Müritz is not only suitable for water sports enthusiasts. Cyclists, hikers, riders, nature photographers, and all nature lovers are well catered for here. Many hundreds of kilometers of cycling, hiking, and riding trails, as well as the Müritz National Park, invite you to spend time in nature. The national park bus with bicycle trailer and the "Müritz rundum" bus service also make longer one-way cycling or hiking tours possible. The bus brings you and your bicycle back to Rechlin.

Location and surroundings of object
Rechlin is a small community with about 2,000 inhabitants in the south of the Mecklenburg Lake District. Anyone seeking peace and relaxation in nature is in exactly the right place here. The town is located on the southern bay of Lake Müritz, which is also called Kleine Müritz. Through lakes and canals, Rechlin is connected to the Havel and the Elbe. The town can be easily reached by water from Hamburg and Berlin. Our holiday home is located in the district of Rechlin-Nord, also called “Peninsula” Rechlin. This, unlike the main town of Rechlin, is located directly on the southeast shore of the large Müritz.
Information and cultural offerings
Marinas
There are three marinas in Rechlin: the Müritz Sailing Club Rechlin, the Rechlin Marina, and the Marina Müritz.
The municipality's area also includes Lake Woterfitz, Lake Leppin, and Lake Große Kotzower. The district of Boek is the southern entrance to the Müritz National Park. Museums in the town
During both World Wars, airplanes were built and tested in the town of Rechlin. The Aviation Technology Museum Rechlin as well as the Aviation Museum Rechlin-Lärz display historical photographs and airplanes from this time. Rechlin-Lärz is today a small civil airport. From here, you can start sightseeing flights and balloon rides.
At the end of the 1940s, the Rechlin shipyard was founded, which initially produced rescue and sports boats. Today, houseboats are built here. Many of them can later be seen sailing on the Müritz.
Bolter Mühle
A historic building is the Bolter Mühle, which was founded as a watermill by the Johanniters in the mid-17th century. Today it is a popular excursion destination with a restaurant and café.
Noteworthy churches
Rechlin has two churches: a neoclassical one in Rechlin-Nord, which was built between 1816 and 1832. In the church tower, alongside three new bells, there also rings a bell that is more than 650 years old. The other church is a neo-Gothic building. It was built in the mid-19th century and is located in the district of Boek.
Historic town center
The historic town center of Rechlin was renovated from 1991 onwards as part of urban development funding. Since the summer of 2010, Rechlin has been a state-recognized resort.

| The rental price includes statutory VAT, 1 set of bed linen per guest, one towel package per guest, and all additional costs. The price for the first day includes the final cleaning fee. Also included are the use of Wi-Fi/internet, the sauna, and the washing machine. If there is no damage, we will refund the deposit by bank transfer after the end of the rental period. For the use of the bicycles, we charge a one-time fee of €30.00 per bike. Two bikes are available. Normal electricity consumption is included in the rental price. If you wish to use our wallbox (car charging station), we charge €0.50 per kWh. The electricity consumption for charging your car is measured by a separate electricity meter. Optional additional costs if you require extra towels or bed linen: Bed linen package per person €20.00 Towel package per person €10.00 Tourist tax: The municipality of Rechlin charges a tourist tax from every guest aged 6 and over during the period from April to October. Tourist tax of €2.00/day from the age of 16. The tourist tax is collected with the rent. You will receive the guest card at the Rechlin tourism office. It cannot be ruled out that the municipality of Rechlin will increase the tourist tax during the year. In that case, a subsequent calculation will be made. If you withdraw from the contract, the following compensation payments shall apply: - Withdrawal up to the 45th day before the start of the rental period: 20% (but at least €25.00) - Withdrawal up to the 35th day before the start of the rental period: 50% - Thereafter and in case of no-show: 90% Further regulations regarding the right of withdrawal can be found in the rental agreement. We generally recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.

We are the Schröder family from Hamm in Westphalia. We discovered our fondness for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the Müritz shortly after the reunification. At first, we tried out various holiday homes and places on the Müritz. Then we decided to build a comfortable holiday home for rental.
