Extraordinary accommodation
This holiday accommodation is something very special: located in a historic building, directly on the old city wall in the quiet Aardenburg. Restaurants are available, otherwise no hustle and bustle. The beach and small towns for strolling and sightseeing are quickly accessible. The apartment itself spans 2 floors, sleeping downstairs, living upstairs. The apartment is equipped with the latest technology, the kitchen is new and very well stocked. The whole apartment is lovingly decorated with small artworks, pictures, cushions, blankets, travel guides, and more, so that you immediately feel at home. The view of the beautiful garden is relaxing. Overall, the garden, which we had mostly to ourselves, is something very special. There are various corners where you can settle down. Our hosts were very pleasant and friendly people who tried to support us in all matters. The wide stairs to the basement are not recommended for people with disabilities. We quickly got used to it. Thank you very much to Wiek and MeiLing! We had a great time with you!

Wir waren gespannt, ob es den Gästen auch für zwei Wochen – doch eine lange Zeit – gefallen und angenehm sein würde in unserem Gästezimmer. Schön zu hören, dass dies der Fall ist. Warm hosts
During the two weeks we spent at Huis van Marietje, we always felt warmly welcomed. The hosts always took care of our questions and concerns! We came as guests and left as good acquaintances :) The large garden with a Mediterranean flair invites you to linger. The furnishings are of a very good standard, especially the kitchen, which I particularly liked.
Unfortunately, the accommodation is not suitable for people with limited mobility. The bedroom and the rest of the apartment are on two floors, connected by a steep staircase.

Wir finden es auch immer wieder schön, neue Menschen kennenzulernen, bei denen wir in relativ kurzer Zeit versuchen, eine Art „guter Bekannter“-Status zu erreichen. Wir versuchen dies, indem wir unseren Gästen Freiraum geben, sie in Ruhe lassen, aber trotzdem jederzeit erreichbar und bereit sind, wenn es nötig ist. Das ist uns auf jeden Fall gelungen. great vacation overnight stay
Marietje's house is a very pleasant place to make all sorts of excursions from there. The accommodation is very complete with a fully equipped kitchen, so you can easily cook for yourself. There is a nice seating area in a sunny part of the garden.
However, please note that there is a steep staircase to the bedroom, which was not a problem.
