Rockow is a small village with fewer than 100 inhabitants on the edge of the Müritz National Park. A small bathing lake, 800m away (easily reachable on foot), has good water quality all year round. A shopping facility and gas station are located 3 km away, in Möllenhagen. It is 15 km to Waren.
I highly recommend an excursion to the 1000-year-old oaks. There you can feel a very special energy and also receive a lot of interesting information. The place is also especially suitable for children.
I can also recommend a paddle tour on the old Havel. There you paddle on the old Havel and pass many small lakes, so it is never boring and is also suitable for younger passengers.
You can start bike tours from Rockow into the national park, to Waren, or into the surrounding area. Recommended is the circuit around Lake Müritz or Lake Tollense.
To relax and feast, the farm café in Kraase invites you. A great place (2.5 km away) to buy fresh vegetables or to enjoy the delicious cakes.
Autumn not only invites you to go hiking or mushroom picking, we are also treated daily to the calls of the cranes migrating here.
There you can book crane tours and at the right time (September) also witness the red deer rut.
