There, in a lovingly arranged setting, you’ll find homemade dairy products from happy cows; payment is based on trust via a cash box.
The cycling network is great, as are the walking and hiking trails.
You can stroll leisurely along the art promenade from Burhave to Fedderwardersiel, admire sculptures, and at the harbor in Fedderwardersiel, enjoy very tasty fish sandwiches at Micha’s Smoked Fish in Fedderwardersiel. You can comfortably cross over to Bremerhaven by ferry from Nordenham-Blexen (18 min by car). The ferry ride takes 12 minutes and is always an adventure; in Bremerhaven itself you can experience the big city atmosphere (the zoo is great, as are the Emigration Museum and the museum harbor).
If you are looking for peace and quiet, you can walk for hours in the Langwarder Groden nature reserve and listen to the crackling of the mud crabs. By leaving a deposit of 1 euro, you can rent mud mobiles.

Great accommodation!
I spent a week with my dog in the house Hanni. We both felt very, very comfortable.
The immediate proximity to the dike and the closeness to the center were unbeatable.
The rooms are wonderfully arranged and lovingly furnished.
We only made slight deductions in the rating of the amenities, as we personally would have liked free Wi-Fi, an oven was missing, and the fencing of the garden behind the house was incomplete and thus not "escape-proof" for my dog. That's just nitpicking at a high level. If I could have, I would have only wanted to deduct half a star.
We would still love to come back if the opportunity arises.

vielen Dank für die super Bewertung und das Feedback.
Wir arbeiten daran, in Kürze W-Lan anbieten zu können. Ein Glasfaseranschluss liegt bereits, wir warten nur noch auf den Router. Der Anbieter zeichnet sich bisher leider durch sehr viele "nordische Gelassenheit" aus. :) Wir sind aber zuversichtlich...
Die Mikrowelle hat übrigens eine Backofen-Funktion, die aber nicht selbst erklärend ist. Daher Danke für die Anmerkung! Wir platzieren einen Hinweis in der Küche.
Die "Schlupflöcher" im Zaun hinter dem Haus (hinter den Rhododendron-Büschen) werden wir im August "stopfen", wenn wir selbst vor Ort sind. Davon wussten wir nichts! Herzlichen Dank für den Hinweis! Wir hoffen, Frida ist nicht "ausgebüxt".
Wir würden uns freuen, euch mal wieder im Haus Hanni begrüßen zu dürfen.

Well-maintained private holiday home
In June 2026, I was a guest at House Hanni for two weeks. Although the weather was quite unfriendly for more than a week, I felt the stay was a feel-good vacation. When you spend more time than usual in the accommodation, you truly appreciate a well-maintained and fully equipped house. Here you actually find everything that makes the stay pleasant or enables a life like at home. I only missed an oven, which cannot be accommodated in the kitchen no matter how hard you try. Self-catering is not a problem even without it. Those who cannot live without fast internet should bring a mobile Wi-Fi router. The perfect cleanliness in the house and the location directly behind the dike are worth mentioning. Many things are within walking distance or reachable by bike. Special features: dishwasher, roller shutters, fly screens in the bedrooms, own beach chair on the beach.
The landlord family, who also uses the house for their own vacation, is not only very friendly but also sociable. Tips and hints are provided by them, but also gladly accepted and taken up.
Recommended for: solo travelers, couples, families with children/dogs, seniors (futon bed!)

Beautiful holiday home in a good location
We spent an extended weekend here with 4 people and two dogs.
The landlords are very friendly, always approachable, and gladly give tips on what to do in the area.
The holiday home is very clean, located directly behind the dike, and many places are within walking distance (fish stand, indoor playground, dog beach, beach, milk house, restaurant, etc.). The garden is fenced, which is very practical for us as dog owners. The parking space directly at the house is more than enough for two vehicles.
Our boys were especially happy about the available toys.
A special extra is the shutters; not every holiday home has that.
We would have liked to open the large window front, but unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate.
The landlords provide a beach chair on the beach, which is reachable in just a few minutes on foot. For children, there is an indoor playground and a playground right on the beach nearby. The dog beach doesn't really score well, but the accommodation can't be blamed for that. For those who are not lazy, we recommend the 3 km long paved circular path directly from the beach through the nature reserve, which is great to use with leashed dogs. Overall, we had a lovely time and would book this holiday home again if we find ourselves in Butjadingen again.

Besser geht's nicht
Tolles Ferienhaus in super Lage. Super sauber, perfekt ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts (Sonnenliegen, Fahrräder, Bollerwagen, Grill...) Wir hatten ein schönes langes WE und kommen gern wieder.
