Here is the translation to English: For cancellations, we charge 30% up to 30 days before arrival (the deposit), after that we charge 90%, unless we receive a replacement booking. Please understand this rule; it is not only in our interest, but also in the interest of others who would have liked to book the apartment. We keep hearing about experiences where people book several apartments with free cancellation policies and then cancel at short notice (depending on the weather?). We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

Stand-up paddling is possible just 6 km away on the Eider.
Directly from the front door you can fish, cycle, hike, also great with a dog.
We can also arrange different arrival times, depending on previous and subsequent bookings – but we need at least 4 hours for cleaning.

Absolutely recommended
We had a wonderful time in the FW "Steuerbord". The lovingly and handcrafted high-quality apartment with a protected terrace and fenced garden completely thrilled us. It was clean, cozy, and there was simply nothing to complain about. The location directly at the NOK is an absolute highlight. We especially appreciated the opportunity, as seniors with limited mobility, to easily obtain exquisite fish sandwiches and other delicacies right across the street. We greatly enjoyed our stay and sincerely thank Maria and Knut, the always friendly and helpful hosts.

Vacation at the NOK
We had very nice vacation days in the holiday apartment Steuerbord.
As seen in the photos, a beautiful, clean, and cozy accommodation awaited us.
Those seeking peace and relaxation are exactly right here.
The NOK is right in front of the terrace door and is simply great for watching ships.
The contact with the landlords was very warm and uncomplicated.
Our next vacation there is already almost booked.

North Sea-Baltic Canal almost on the terrace
Directly located at the ferry across the channel, both large "ships" and small boats pass by almost directly in front of the holiday home. There is always something to discover without it becoming too much. The lovingly furnished holiday apartment and the beautiful garden with terrace are optimal if you want to slow down or if you have an interest in old boat technology. The holiday apartment itself becomes a small museum. You simply have to experience it. A special thanks to the hosts Maria and Knut, whom we have known for a long time but from a completely different context. Great, what a treasure chest you have built. We will definitely come back.

Vacation to unwind
We spent 14 days here in a beautiful and quiet environment. In the generously equipped accommodation, nothing is missing, so we felt comfortable from the very beginning. The hosts are extremely friendly and always reachable. We received wonderful excursion tips with detailed descriptions time and again. The impressive nature surrounding us invites exploration and hiking. - You can start right at the front door. Day trips to the North and Baltic Sea with nature and cultural experiences (Emil Nolde Museum Seebüll, Husum, beautiful churches, stork village Bergenhusen, etc.) are easily doable. The view of the ferry and passing ships is better than any TV program!

Hello from the land between the seas. We discovered the Fährhaus Fischerhütte in 2021 and could hardly believe that such a beautiful house in such a special location had been empty for 5 years. For us it was clear right away: This is it! Ideal for our plans to live in a beautiful place ourselves while also letting others share in it. In the summer of 2024, after a long phase of planning, approval, renovation, and design, it was finally time: the first of the two holiday apartments was ready. We are looking forward to welcoming guests. Being hosts has accompanied us through life: most recently for 15 years as hostel parents at a youth hostel located on an 800-year-old castle-like site in the city of Mühlhausen in Thuringia. The great part about being hosts? That one keeps being reminded of how good one has it, so that it never becomes taken for granted.

Wie auf den Fotos zu sehen war erwartete uns eine schöne saubere und gemütliche Unterkunft.
Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht ist hier genau richtig.
Der NOK liegt direkt vor der Terassentür und ist zum Schiffe gucken einfach genial.
Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern sehr herzlich und unkompliziert.
Unser nächster Urlaub dort ist schon so gut wie gebucht.
Was sollen wir sagen: eigentlich fällt es uns schwer, das Wort "Perfekt" zu benutzen - denn „irgend was“ ist bekanntlich ja immer…
Aber nicht hier! Es ist wirklich PERFEKT bei Maria und Knut!
Beginnen wir mit der Gegend:
Der „Duft der großen Weiten Welt“ weht mit jedem großen Schiff auf dem Nord-Ostsee-Kanal zu uns herüber! Liegt die Ferienwohnung doch direkt neben der „Fähre Fischerhütte“ und damit sind wir „mittendrin“! Langweilig wird’s da nicht. Die (eigentlich als Wirtschaftswege eingerichteten) Fuss/Radwege laden zum spazieren, laufen, radeln ein und der neue Imbiss in direkter Nachbarschaft hat leckere Sandwiches und Fischbrötchen!
Es regnete ziemlich oft während unserer Woche … also eigentlich immer... ?
Kein Problem in unserer FeWo „Steuerbord“:
Eine komplette Ausstattung, inkl. überdachter Terrasse und Fußbodenheizung lassen den Regen draußen vergessen und es drinnen richtig gemütlich haben!
Beginnend mit der Küche: keine Selbstverständlichkeit, dass hier sowohl ein volles Kochfeld, inkl. Backofen zzgl. Mikrowelle im Angebot sind. Geschirrspülmaschine, Kleingeräte, wie Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine und Toaster, sowie bei Bedarf TK-Truhe und Waschmaschine (zzgl. Trockner), runden das Angebot ab. Volle Ausstattung mit Geschirr und Handtüchern ist selbstverständlich.
Ein Neues Badezimmer und ein tolles Bett mit herrlichen Matratzen inkl. elektrisch verstellbarer Lattenroste (super zum fernsehen) laden zum Wohlfühlen und Chillen ein!
Maria und Knut sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber:
Da wir mit unseren zwei Hunden anreisten, standen 2 Futternäpfe, Spielzeug und sogar ein Hundebett für die beiden bereit!!! Der eingezäunte Garten zum freien „frische Luft schnappen“ gehört Zitat: „das ist hier selbstverständlich“ dazu.
Unseren Gastgebern war sehr wichtig, dass wir uns wohl fühlten und es uns an nichts fehlte…
Und so hatten wir eine tolle, erholsame Woche und es war bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal, dass wir „ahoi“ sagen werden bei Maria und Knut!
Wir waren das erste Mal im Fährhaus Fischerhütte und gleich in der neuen Wohnung " Steuerbord".Es war ein super Kurzurlaub am NOK in einer TOP-Ferienwohnung die ein besonderes "Flair" hat. Die Beschreibung der Wohnung auf der Webseite stimmen zu 100% , dazu kommt, die von den netten Gastgebern Maria und Knut persönlich und liebevollen Details, die die Wohnung zu etwas anderen machen, als normale Ferienunterkünfte.
Liebe Maria, lieber Knut , wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns auf das Wiedersehen.

Übrigens kann mensch mit dem Fahrrad die wunderbare Gegend im Raum Hanerau-Hademarschen am und um den NOK erkunden. Einen Urlaub im Ferienhaus Fischerhütte kann ich sehr empfehlen.
