This individually designed, lovingly furnished solid wood house invites you to enjoy your holiday. Here you can unwind in a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. When building the holiday home, particular emphasis was placed on energy-efficient and sustainable construction. It is made of spruce/fir wood, which is felled, stored and processed according to very special specifications (Thoma Holz100). This creates a particularly pleasant indoor climate and provides very good protection against heat. It has been proven to calm your breathing and heart rate. Here, far away from the hustle and bustle, you can simply let go and forget about everyday life, read a book in comfort or explore the Lusatian Lakeland with its wide range of activities. In the well-equipped kitchen with induction hob and oven, you can enjoy preparing delicious meals. In the adjoining dining area, the bright window front creates a cosy atmosphere. The dining table and cosy sofa corner are located here. The terrace invites you to enjoy the sun and fire up the barbecue. For relaxation and wellness, there is a spacious sauna with a view of the lake through the large panoramic window and a relaxation room. The immediate proximity to the sandy beach means you can have great fun swimming. The two-storey holiday home is lovingly furnished and very comfortably equipped, offering space for up to 8 people on approx. 70 m² of living space.
On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, a large eat-in kitchen and a bathroom. Sleeping facilities: 1 room with a double bed (1.60 x 2.00m) - 1 room with a bunk bed (1.20 x 2.00m) and a bed (0.90 x 2.00m). The sauna, the relaxation room and another bathroom are located on the upper floor. The stylish floor-level natural stone shower makes the bathrooms a real eye-catcher. An extra bed for up to four more people is possible: in the living room there is a comfortable fold-out sofa bed (1.60 x 2.00m) and upstairs in the relaxation room the futon couch becomes a comfortable place to sleep (1.40 x 2.00m). A baby travel cot is also available.

The holiday home is about 100 metres from the sandy beach of Bergheider See. On the opposite side of the lake you can dive into the wilderness - here is the NABU nature paradise Grünhaus. There are numerous other lakes nearby for day trips, such as Lake Großräschen, Lake Senftenberg and Lake Geierswald. Here in southern Brandenburg on the border with Saxony, the largest man-made water landscape in Europe attracts visitors with more than 20 flooded lakes and navigable canals. Travelling by public transport: Take the train to Finsterwalde station and then continue by bus. The bus stop is the F60 visitor mine, from there it is approx. 400 metres to the house.

The mining past is particularly impressive at Bergheider See. The former F60 overburden conveyor bridge is undoubtedly the most spectacular relic of open-cast lignite mining in Lusatia. It is the largest moving machine in the world. In the summer season, the F60 is a popular venue for open-air concerts, shows and events of various genres and festivals, attracting thousands of visitors to the F60 and Lake Bergheide every year. The only singing town in Germany, Finsterwalde, is easily accessible by bike or car (8 km). Here you will find various shops, cosy cafés and restaurants. The zoo, swimming pool and outdoor pool offer plenty of variety for children.
If you prefer cycling, there is a well-developed and signposted network of cycle paths around the lakes. For hiking enthusiasts, there are numerous interesting trails through nature reserves and exciting places of industrial heritage. If the weather is not quite so good, there are plenty of varied "indoor" excursion destinations nearby. Other destinations include the Spreewald / Tropical Island (68 km); cities: Cottbus (54 km), Dresden (75 km), Leipzig (120 km), Berlin (125 km)

Beautiful holiday home by the lake
The holiday home is equipped with everything you need for a vacation. Parents' bedroom, children's room, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, as a special bonus a sauna on the first floor. Only the space for personal clothing is quite limited. The house does not have air conditioning. Communication with the landlords was very good. There was a small problem with the hot water, but it was resolved immediately through direct contact. The house is a 3-minute walk to the lake. In the background, the impressive F60, the largest decommissioned bucket-wheel excavator in Europe. The Bergeider See and the surrounding area are for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere. However, there are a few festivals by the lake, so please check the dates in advance. The water of the lake is rather acidic, so there are no animals or plants in the lake. However, it's not a problem for human skin. We had a relaxed, peaceful vacation in the beautiful wooden house by the lake. That is exactly what we were looking for. From there, a clear recommendation from us.
