Benajarafe
In Benajarafe itself there is a wide selection of restaurants and bars – just try out which ones you like best.
Mediterráneo (at the western end of Benajarafe): Highly recommended for a nice dinner. ? Attention vegetarians: Even if it’s not on the menu, the team is happy to prepare vegetarian and even vegan dishes – just ask! From the beach, drive to the right; after approx. 350 meters, the restaurant is on the right side.
La Plata Matilde (at the eastern end of the town, directly at the roundabout): Popular for fish and meat dishes, but less suitable for vegetarians.
Chiringuitos: These typical beach bars are a must in Andalusia. They often offer freshly caught fish and an authentic atmosphere right by the sea. In Benajarafe, there are several of them.
Torre del Mar & Rincón de la Victoria
In the larger neighboring towns of Torre del Mar (to the east) and Rincón de la Victoria (to the west), you will find a huge selection of restaurants and bars of all kinds. Torre del Mar:
Safari Lounge – Steaks from the hot stone, wok dishes, pasta dishes, fish
Sale E Pepe – Italian dishes, pinsa
Bar Italia – delicious pizza
Taj Mahal – Indian cuisine
Siam – Thai specialties
El Pozo – good Spanish cuisine
Rincón de la Victoria: Here you can enjoy fresh fish right on the beach – just like in Torre del Mar.
Málaga Centro
The best tapas restaurants can be found in the center of Málaga. A visit is definitely worthwhile if you want to try authentic Andalusian tapas.

Supermarkets
The nearest large supermarkets are Mercadona in Chilches and ALDI in Torre del Mar – both about 10 minutes away by car.
In Benajarafe itself there is the small supermarket Komo Komo. If you drive along the coastal road, turn left. The market is on the right side next to the "Tabacos" and is also open on Sundays. Shopping Center
Between Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar is the large shopping center El Ingenio. Drive on the highway towards Almería and take the exit Vélez-Málaga/Torre del Mar. At the roundabout, take the second exit to the parking lot of “Ingenio.” The shopping center is already visible from the highway. Bakery & Tabacos
Directly next to “Komo Komo” in Benajarafe, next to Bar Sanchez, you will find the excellent bakery El Salvador with a large selection of breads and sweet treats.
In the Tabacos next to “Komo Komo” there are not only cigarettes, but also postcards, stamps (“sellos”), and small souvenirs.
Weekly markets (“Mercadillos”)
All markets are open from 10:00 a.m. to approx. 2:00 p.m. In addition to fresh fruit, vegetables, and spices, you will also find clothing, handicrafts, and much more there.
Benajarafe: Small weekly market every Saturday. Drive along the coastal road into the town center and turn left where a sign says “Iglesia.” This is the smallest market in the region.
Organic market: Also on Saturdays, at the garden center Flor y Mar at the end of Benajarafe towards Málaga.
Torre del Mar: Large market every Thursday. If you are coming into the city from the west, park as close to the center as possible and ask for the “mercadillo.” It is located between the main street and the beach.
Caleta de Vélez: Market every Saturday, a few kilometers east of Torre del Mar, directly on the main street – impossible to miss.
