The beaches of Fonyód:
Swimming also plays a major role during the holiday season in Fonyód. The gradually deepening sandy bottom of the Lake Balaton coast is ideal for all holiday guests, but the locals and the surrounding area also enjoy taking a dip in the rapidly warming coastal waters. To the delight of guests with pets, there is also a separate beach for dogs in Fonyód.
Pier: The 464 metre long breakwater pier offers the longest and most beautiful view of the coast of Lake Balaton and was built in 1906. With the harbour and the adjacent event spaces, shops and restaurants, it forms a defining part of today's Fonyód. In summer there is also a mini amusement park with a Ferris wheel. And you can see many high-calibre performances on the open-air stage.
Viewpoints: You can enjoy the beautiful panorama of Lake Balaton from both viewpoints in Fonyód.
Market: The largest market on the southern shore of Lake Balaton takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays to the delight of Fonyód's locals and visitors.
