A fantastic vacation awaits you on this sunny Greek island, known for its azure coasts, impressive mountain ranges, picturesque traditional villages, and many historical cultural treasures.
In the south, away from the tourist streams and about 800 meters from the picturesque village of Kamilari, is Villa Zefyros, a detached house with no immediate neighbors that can accommodate up to four people in a beautiful setting. Located in the midst of an olive grove and on a property of 4000 square meters, Villa Zefyros sits peacefully on a hill. Its slightly elevated position offers a wonderful view of the valley and the Libyan Sea. On clear days, the island of Gavdos can be seen. In Kamilari, you will find several good taverns, a supermarket, cafes, and several shops. The beautiful, long, and quiet sandy beaches of Kalamaki, Komos, and Matala are just a short drive away. Several beaches welcome naturists.
Your stone-built 3-bedroom villa is spacious and tastefully decorated. The living room features a dining table with chairs, a cozy and inviting seating area with a fireplace, satellite TV, and DVD player. Internet (Wi-Fi) is available. The open kitchen is fully equipped:
-4 hotplates
-Microwave oven
-Coffee maker and kettle
-Toaster, citrus juicer
-All the necessary dishes. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, a toilet, two sinks, and a washing machine.
The 2 separate bedrooms (1 x queen-size double bed, 1 x beds can be pushed together) have air conditioning and heating (additional charge).
Villa Zefyros has 3 terraces with seating and a magnificent view of the pastoral areas and the sea. Two of these terraces are covered with pergolas. Next to the house there is a pool with a shallow water area and a terrace with sun loungers and a large parasol, from which you have a magnificent view of the valley and the sea.
All windows and doors are fitted with mosquito nets.
Villa Zefyros is suitable for max. 4 people.
Towels and bed linen are changed once a week. From the villa, there are numerous opportunities for walks. Additionally, you can take beautiful trips to Matala, Kali Limenes, Lendas, Aghia Galini, or the archaeological sites of Phaestos, Gortys, and Aghia Triada.

Location and surroundings of object
The authentic village Kamilári (Καμηλάρι) is located in the south of Crete and has preserved its original rural character. It is 800 meters from Villa Zefyros and can be reached on foot or by car.
Many of the old houses have been renovated, retaining the old architectural style. In the center of the village, there is the old well from 1929. During a walk through the old alleys of Kamilári, you can discover interesting small shops, fantastic restaurants, and small cafes.
The center of Kamilári has been restored and exudes a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Here, you can meet the friendly villagers.
In the high summer, the annual village festival takes place. In Kamilari, you will find a supermarket for daily shopping, a bakery, a pharmacy, excellent Greek taverns (restaurants), a well-known pizzeria, and several cozy kafenions.

Schöne Villa mit Herausforderungen
Nachdem wir vorab einen Teams Call mit Sabine & Vincent hatten um zu prüfen ob das Inserat vertrauenswürdig ist, haben wir die Unterkunft kurzfristig gebucht. Die Villa ist tatsächlich wunderschön, und auch viele Angaben entsprechen der Wahrheit. Auf unsere direkte Frage ob wir dort Ruhe und Entspannung haben werden, wurde uns das vorab so bestätigt. Leider ist das ein Punkt den wir deutlich kritisieren müssen. Die Bilder sind nicht mehr aktuell, da direkt nebenan und auch in der gesamten Umgebung gebaut wird. Aufgrund der extrem großen Baustelle nebenan, kam es häufig zu erheblichen Lärmbeeinträchtigungen in den frühen Morgenstunden. An Ausschlafen war nicht zu denken. Darüber hinaus gab es auch keine Privatsphäre mehr am Pool, durch die gaffenden Bauarbeiter. Auch die Zufahrt zur Villa ist ein Abenteuer und wir können nur jedem raten, ein geländefähiges Fahrzeug zu mieten, da die Villa an einem steilen Hang liegt und fahrerisches Können voraussetzt. Andrea und Jannis, die Hausverwalter, haben und herzlich empfangen und sogar der Kühlschrank war mit Grundeinkäufen für die ersten Tage gefüllt. Das war wirklich sehr liebenswert und das haben wir so noch nie erlebt. Die Kommunikation mit beiden war hervorragend. Jannis kam häufiger mit vorheriger Ankündigung vorbei um den Pool zu reinigen. Er hatte uns sogar mal Feigen aus seinem Garten mitgebracht und uns immer mit hervorragenden Tips über die Umgebung versorgt. Die Klimaanlage kostet 4 Euro pro Tag und pro Zimmer, was dem Inserat hinzugefügt werden sollte, wie wir finden. Für Griechenland ist das normal uns ist nicht unbedingt etwas, was verschweigen werden muss. Schade war, dass wir nicht grillen durften. Allerdings sind wir auch durch Gebiete gefahren, wo es gebrannt hat, so dass wir hinterher einsichtiger wurden, da wir von der Verantwortung für einen möglichen Brand befreit wurden. Schade ist, dass die Villa keine Spülmaschine und keinen Backofen hat. Es hat uns nicht gestört, wäre aber ein Bonus.
