Schwäbisch Gmünd is located 50 km east of the state capital Stuttgart.
You will find many hiking and biking trails here in a scenic environment. A particularly beautiful bike path on a disused railway line runs through Straßdorf. On this path, Schwäbisch Gmünd can be comfortably reached in 15 minutes and Göppingen in about 1 hour.
In the village, there are good inns, an Edeka market, bakeries, a pharmacy, doctors, etc.
The bus connection to Schwäbisch Gmünd is good and can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes. The well-equipped holiday apartment Bauchert for 1-4 people is located in a quiet, good residential area of the southern district of Straßdorf in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
The apartment is about 85 qm and has 2 large balconies. It is located on the top floor of a two-family house at the end of a cul-de-sac in a good, very quiet residential area.
The apartment has 2 separate bedrooms, one with double beds, the other with 2 separate beds. Bed linen and towels are available and included. The duvets are boil-proof and suitable for allergy sufferers.
The windows and balcony doors are equipped with insect screen grids.
From the dining/living room, there is access to the 35 sqm balcony on the west side with seating group and loungers. An electric grill is provided upon request. The living room has a flat-screen TV and a shelf with informational materials, books, children's books, and a collection of games. The bathroom with bathtub, shower and toilet, 2 sinks and a mirrored cabinet, has daylight through a skylight.
The fitted kitchen is equipped with a Miele automatic stove and oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, water and egg boiler, toaster, all necessary cookware and plenty of dinnerware, dish towels, and washing and cleaning agents. A small counter with 2 seats invites for a quick coffee from the coffee pad machine. There is also a large balcony on the east side, which can be accessed through the bedroom. Here one can enjoy the morning sun and sit in the shade during summer afternoons.
If needed, the washing machine and dryer in the laundry room may be used for a fee.
The beautifully blooming garden in the summer can also be utilized.
A parking space is available at the house. There, an electric car can be charged with a wallbox (12 KW). The apartment is ideal for families with slightly older children as well as business travelers.
A reduced price is offered for long-term rentals, subject to agreement.

Great vacation
We arrived as a family with two teenage boys at the Bauchert family and were warmly welcomed. The apartment is well-equipped with everything one could wish for, and everything is spotlessly clean. A large fruit basket and drinks awaited us. We could approach the Bauchert family at any time with our questions and concerns. It was an all-around wonderful holiday week, and we sincerely thank our dear landlords.

Dream Vacation Apartment
From the first day, we felt at home (sitting together in the winter garden).
Mr. and Mrs. Bauchert are simply great, always had good tips for sights and much more.
Everything you need is in the apartment, and it is very clean.
Two large balconies provide space to relax and unwind.
But the best for last, the mattresses—we slept like at home, simply brilliant.
We have already booked again for September.

Super-equipped, bright, clean, and cozy vacation apartment in a top location. It still brings us joy to welcome both familiar and new guests and to see how thrilled they are with our beautiful city of Schwäbisch Gmünd and the hiking paradise of the Eastern Alb. Cyclists and mountain bikers also find great opportunities here to explore our area. A visit is worthwhile in all seasons. In spring, you can walk through the beautifully blooming orchards. In summer, the cool green forests on the mountains of the Swabian Alb are ideal for hiking. A beautifully colorful foliage awaits you in the fall. On clear cold winter days, if there is enough snow, you can even ski on groomed cross-country trails across the Alb. Get to know our area - you will be thrilled.
